Absolutely awesome course from teebox to green, but what impressed me the most are the bunkers. They are magnificent, and I know that for a fact because I visited at least one on every hole still managed a +2 from the tips playing true sim

As you can probably tell from my updated sig, I really enjoyed this course Sculpting is gorgeous, clearly the result of a lot of manual effort as lidar data can't produce curves like that! Apart from one 3 putt on a truly evil green slope, played really well with a -14 which included an ace and chip in, and some monster putts towards the end

I did this regarding sculpting of Purgatory Tee boxes: I resurfaced every tee box and flattened them all Cart paths: I resurfaced and smoothed every cart path I resurfaced all the water areas, then dropped two layers of water on all of the water surfaces, I did not want to disturb the terrain(Lidar) too much so I dropped a water plane then dropped another and raised it a bit until it looked level with what the water level showed on the course pics I resurfaced a couple of the fairways like one and i think 7 that I did not do a good job on tracing them I sculpted a bit better a few of the bunkers (Just inside the actual surface, and redrew a bunch of them as the tracing was just a tad bigger than what It should have been Eric was asked to pin this course and find us all four pin positions.. I asked that he do the bare minimum... He found the positions and did some micro sculpting around some of them but like an inch to remove some of the yellow right at the pins, but when I say micro, I mean it ha ha,.. We wanted to keep the greens as close to lidar as we could... And we did I think
He did a great job

Looking forward to playing the course. Looks great! One question, and only cause I read it so many times and am curious, what is Lidar?

Me likey.... If we do not have to count goats and sh%$ I will see if we can play this on Friday night. I played this course back about 15 years ago in a corporate outing with Dayton Freight. Spent a lot of time in the mush or water but it was a beautiful course. What you have here certainly looks the part.

He did a great job The crying about colors around the box/pins is overrated. Don't mind some challenge if its not ridiculous.

First time i ever played the course i did the same...i might have hit 1 or 2 fairways on my way to a 110. Second time i played it i only missed 1 fairway all day which resulted in a quadruple bogey on my way to an 82. If you hit the fairways it's not so bad The last time i played it was in August in a 4 person scramble for a buddies company...and gotta say that's the best way to enjoy that brute of a course

Just make sure its not 90+ degrees with 80% humidity! The first time I played there was in the dead heat of summer and it was brutal!

I have played this course a few times since it was published. I really love this course and what a great job done by Terry and Eric! I play using Ultra Sim Experience Settings (USE). If you haven't tried USE I highly recommend giving it a shot! Extremely realistic play. I have been playing with high winds, fast greens, firm terrain/greens, red tee's and pin set #2. I have been finishing above par between +1 and +5. Today was a different story. I birdied 2, 11, 14 and eagled 5 and the prize was a HN1 on 7. I'm not sure if I am the first one to get a HN1 on the course but it was sweet! If you are playing on Xbox 1 you can load up my ghost from 3/14/19, gamer tag SirWade59.
