I normally play and design on XB1 but this new tool may push me into getting the PC version. I have found Lidar data in Australia and I've started OSM for a local course ... but I believe I can't play with the new tools unless I have a blank course file to start with. Can someone send me one? If so, please PM me and I'll send an email address.

If I do the OSM for my local course can some kind person with a PC match it up with Lidar data and create my home course. Bishop Auckland Golf Club have flyovers of each hole which shows you where most of the trees are, done on a computer but it’s not accurate with the green shapes and bunker positions. I would love to play my home course in game I have a course in progress the old way but it’s not looking to good now as tees seem to have moved and I cant put them back.

If you PM me your email address I can send you the blank course file that Eric sent to me. Assuming you have some kind of PC (it doesn't need to be able to run the game) you can then do all the Lidar, masking, OSM and draft course file creation yourself. It's only then that you need to either get the game on PC yourself or find a friendly PC designer to finish it for you!

Thanks mate I’m considering buying a PC just to design my local courses on I think it would be cool to be able to put courses in the game that are from my area of the UK.

I'd like a blank course file too.
Maybe someone can set up a File Share and load up blanks from each theme?

I need the game to go on sale in Steam before i buy it tho.

^^ To be fair Jimmy, the game goes on sale quite often, so you shouldn't have to wait long. It was just on a pretty large sale recently actually, like 40% off or something.

How often is "often" that the game goes on sale? I'm about to pull the trigger on a months worth of cloud computing but I need to buy the game. I really missed my opportunity to buy it for cheap on President's day.

From this it looks like every 45-60 days now. We just left a sale, so there's probably 35 or more days left: steamdb.info/app/695290/Scroll down to the price history graph.

Hmm that's still a little ways away. I might hold out for a possible Easter deal!
