Just for kicks I played a few holes, bogeyed 5 of my first 7, threw my bag through the window of clubhouse carefully crafted by jwfickett, and stormed off the property.

I’m actually quite humbled at the positive words already expressed. And beyond impressed at the scores being posted.

And how birdie is possible if you hit a great putt (often times down hill). My most frustrating hole is probably number 1. It’s no gimme birdie.

Appreciate the words though - glad you enjoyed.

Been splitting up my rounds for a while now spread out over the week. Last week and this week I played all four in one shot. Kind of a lesson learned here to not rush through as I tend to get unfocused and speed through rounds when I bunch them up together. That weakened mental focus is summed up by my "colorful" 4th round:
Wonderful course and setup!

Didn’t realize how much I sucked at this game until I played rounds 2-4. Just no magic. Every bad break outside of tempo.
Lip outs. One inch into rough Fast downswing putting you on a different tier of a green 50 feet away Flags at the top of downswing on stock wedges - flicking annoying Balls coming to rest a yard above a tier leaving impossible downhill putts
Props to those shooting -12 in R4. Crazy sh%$. Would love to see how that’s done!

Somebody pinch me ? Edit: gave up all that I had gained in round 2. Screw this game You've been showing occasional flashes of brilliance for a while now after some struggles with the last patch, looks like these flashes are becoming more and more frequent making you a legitimate contender. Couple more top 3s for you and I think you'll officially become part of the TGCT elite, nice one (Just be warned that the better you score, the more hate and negative insinuations you'll receive, that's a non-negotiable part of the elite package)

I thought this was a stunning course to look at, the tees and fairways were majestic. However, when you've got 180-210y approaches that you can't stop the ball on, it gets monotonous. In addition to that there were numerous flags which reminded of crazy golf, the Ant Hill kind. Even when the green gradients seemed like the ball should filter towards the pin, it stopped at the very top and didn't roll backwards. I think the only one that did was Rd 1, hole 2. This was definitely a US Open type course. I played okay, I think I bimbled to a -21/22. I can't remember the specifics 🤔😉🤔 Yea a few pins in R4 were a little 🙄. literally had a 2x2 box the ball had to be in with a wedge else it went off a tier and left you 40 feet. Will be curious to see the cutline.

Pretty course. Wish I could sat the same for the way I played. Missed cut and probably my first demotion marks (overachieving). Couldn't get anything close, seemed to be on the wrong side of slopes most of the time. Very frustrating to watch a shot roll 30'-50' away due to sinkholes around the pins. But, seeing some of the scores, it's obviously playable.
Between this weeks events on PGA, TST, and USE, I'll be lucky to not rage quit and uninstall this game. Lol

Just a wild ride for me.
This course is an OG, one of the best ever made on any TGC. This is the third PGA tournament its hosted I think. I believe I won the second one a couple years ago and was hoping to recreate some magic as I get back into TGC rhythm. The first time it hosted a tournament was right when I joined TGCT and I practiced the hell out of it lol.
I started poorly, -8, -7 and couldn't make a putt. Got a new controller today and think I was struggling with putt tempo on the tighter stick.
3rd round was much better in the high winds, but I putted from 5 feet on one hole where the pin was just silly, I think #6 maybe? Anyway, -8 again but really should've been -11 if I just make a 5 footer.
4th round I found the magic again. I hit shot after shot in the 1 foot windows you HAVE to with those crazy pins to get close, holed a bunch of putts as well and managed a 59 to shoot -34.
Overall, I'm happy but disappointed because just solid play in the first two rounds would've given me a shot to compete for a victory.

I think i'm losing interest, played 2 holes and wish i hadn't started, for the next 34 it was a 'somewhere there, whack' mentality, i will apologise because that is not fair on anybody here, and it is certainly not in anyway or form of how i have ever thought to behave. Maybe a break is required. Play well all and good luck.

First time i played this track i turned the air blue and was raging all over the shop. After a good few plays tho over the weeks the course looks and plays great. Personally id of put this as the matchplay course. That would of been awesome. Ok the greens are on the verge on a lot of pins but key to try and be patient. Missed a lot of putts in rds 1-3 by a cock hair but all my fault i was torn on wat was exact number to play for breaks and always seemed to pick the wrong one and them downhill putts are brutal in some part but they putt true which is the main thing. Had a few bogies from nowhere as putted off the green a few but made some great chips. Putter caught fire on the back 9 rd4 to shoot -12 but just know the missed easier putts in the early rds will come bk to haunt me.(again). Must learn to lag putts that are dangerous. Good luck to all left to play. Onto the shower that is sawgrass. Is it hbs version or has brandon published it himself as the putt markers are fubar'd on hbs just like the rest of there dross they put on the game.

After my first round I expected to be threatening the lead but alas, will be lucky to stay in the top 10 this week. Very disappointed with my final 3 rounds, but that's what this course can do to you. 1 click off on the loft box and your putt is 50 feet instead of 5. Oh well
