I'll go with: Tampa in 5 Boston in 6 Washington in 7 Isles in 6
Calgary in 6 Vegas in 7 Nashville in 7 St. Louis in 4
Tampa in 6 Isles in 7
Vegas in 7 Nashville in 6
Tampa in 5 Nashville in 6
Tampa in 6
Hate picking the obvious favourite but Tampa was really in its' own league this season and it's hard to see them losing 4 times in 7 games when they only lost 20 in 82.

Helps knowing that had I done prediction my normal way I would be just as far off as I currently am

Columbus on paper is a much better team than a second wild card seed, they just hadn't shown it up until now.

In a way, IF they can beat Tampa or go even further, it will be a good thing for the fans of the trade deadline. Had Columbus not made the playoffs the trade deadline would have been dead.

I grew up idolizing the Boston Bruins, played hockey through school years and then a short stint in a semipro league until I joined the military. I have a daughter who is like me, loves the Bruins...well now the grandkids are in the same boat and we take in as many games every year at the Garden as we possibly can (scheduling more than any thing) I was a rafter rat back in my grade school years. We used to sneak in to the 'old" Garden and watch games from above what was known as the heavens. Garden staff knew we were there but didn't bother us as we were good kids (other than sneaking in the Garden, that is). I went to a game last year and ran into a very old friend that I ran with back in the day, yes he too was a rafter rat but now he works for the Garden. We didn't recognize each other but from talking to another member of the Garden "crew", they pointed me in his direction. Totally awesome finding an old friend like that. Unfortunately I am too old to climb around the heavens but he does occasionally send us a few tickets. Bruins won't win this year but it sure is fun to watch the young ones in the household embrace the same team I loved.

My dad was a Leafs fan, and his dad was a Habs fan. I'm glad no one in my family embraced the team their father loved.

Seems safe to say that any discussion of this season’s Lightning team being the greatest in NHL history has just been put to rest. It has opened up a much different greatest of all-time crown that they’ve very likely just won instead.

Crazy. I only saw them a handful of times this year, but 62 wins is ridiculous. There was one game vs jets where i thought we'd have no chance if they played like that.

Tampa lost in all the key areas. Playoff hockey is completely different. The intensity is ramped up.
For whatever reason, Tampa just couldn't match Columbus's intensity. The Blue Jackets consistently won races, battles for loose pucks, and battles in front of both nets. Columbus consistently denied time and space to Tampa's skilled players.
The interesting thing, from Tampa's perspective is that they already have a lineup that should have - and indeed has - succeeded in the playoffs. The only thing to point to is complacency.

Needless to say, I could not be more disappointed. The sweep just makes it that much more of a joke. Every team in every sport usually has a slump at some time during the season, for the Lightning it was week 1 in the playoffs smh. I can't even hate on Columbus, they were just an underdog team that got hot at the right time. So good luck I guess. Will be hard to be optimistic going forward when your an unstoppable force all year, set several records, then lay an egg like this.
Oh well, Go Rays! Hopefully it won't be the same story for them in October if they can keep it going.

First playoff series win! It’s kinda sad considering we’ve been around since 2000 but GO JACKETS!

Tampa in 7 Boston in 6 Carolina in 5 Pittsburgh in 4 Calgary in 6 Nashville in 7 St Louis in 6 San Jose in 7 Boston in 5 Pittsburgh in 4 Nashville in 6 St Louis in 6 Boston in 7 St Louis in 6 St Louis in 5 To be honest. I don't really believe this to happen, but I've been horrible at these the last few years so it's probably more accurate than my actual predictions. It's the playoffs. Anything can happen. Go Leafs! First thing I thought after the Bruins took a 2-0 lead:the Bruins are beating mrooola's team and it's the Swedes doing it for them. I'm assuming you simultaneously hated and liked that.

Been some sort of first round so far....
Respect to the blues for knocking us out. As physical as a series as it was there wasn't alot of the dirty/scary type of hits and stick work like I've seen in some of the other matchups. Thought the reffing was pretty good as well untill game 6 where we got hosed on some calls, but at the same time Jets didn't do enough to help themselves. I like Maurice but i think its time to try somthing else there.
Crazy game last night but LOL at Vegas crying. No doubt it was bad call, but comparing to the "saints call" is ridiculous. Guess it sucks when you're not getting helped...errr...getting every call your way like the year before. In the Vegas/Jets series last year it was like two different sets of rules.
As "exciting" as it is for all these underdogs winnings, its also a bit of a bad look for all the top seeds going out in the first round. Its alot tougher to sell out buildings in the regular season if it means next to nothing unless you're scrambling to get in.
So with all the teams i didn't want to win out, I'll be a very casual follower the rest of the way. More shitty netflix movies with the woman it is....
Good luck to all with a personal stake left in this thing.
