I've only posted on this site once before, and I couldn't design a course on this game if the fate of the world depended on it, but I'd still like to say thank you for this because, for us RCR lovers, this is the very best I've seen in years of playing versions of this game, and that's saying something because there were some incredible RCRs on 2K21 (bless you Yeltzman, Paddyjk, etc.). Some great ones have been created or ported to the new game, but overall we're really starving for great RCRs on 2K23. This one, though, is a masterpiece. (No digs intended to fictional courses or their designers; I love those, too!). Thanks a million, man. It rules.

Just played and... WOWEE! This is just top shelf stuff. Loved every minute and every shot. Thank you for bringing this across to 2K23.
(Hoping some updates are coming for those other classic American courses you've created, e.g. Oakmont, Pinehurst, Shoreacres as well Kingsley Club, Crystal Downs and Erin Hills.)

Greens killed me !!
Always play my solo rounds with grids off as in TST.

I think if your into real courses it shows the error or(maybe on purpose) what HB/2k did with the designer concerning Lidar you just can't add the detail like this version did with a Lidar version how it effects the object meter now. Even the lidar of Merion did not come close to the original version of this course and the research the designer puts into his courses just makes all the difference also what helps is how good a course Merion is.

Just had a quick round of Merion East. Absolutely loved it. Great job. Can't wait to get out there with my mates at the weekend. Top work.

Just played a round on TGC settings...mod firm fast greens...great layout of course...some challenging tee shots with the subtle doglegs where u use a three wood..and the greens are brutal but fair with you are putting from the sides.

Thanks for adding this to 2k23. Can finally stop firing up 2k21 to play it. Look forward to the rest moving across including the longer ANGC. Cheers

SkyBlueBenEveryone's raving about this course Ben. Should be worth adding to the roster if not already there.

"Merion East 2022" is now published in 2K21 and 2K23.
I started this update last summer to coincide with the 2022 Curtis Cup. This reflects, as far as I can tell, all of the updates from the Gil Hanse renovation. This includes redone bunkers, some green expansion, new fairway lines and mowing lines, the lengthened 2nd hole with new green, and new 13th tees. A full update of the planting was also done, with a better attempt at replicating the twisted, gnarly pines throughout the course. Improvements were also made to the clubhouse, fences, and the neighborhood around the back nine holes.
Greens: I wouldn't go much higher than default speeds. Some pins are tame, others being above the hole is death. Round 1 pins reflect the one pin sheet I found for the Curtis Cup, and the rest are a mix of 2013 US Open pins.
Wind: My best educated guess after researching average winds in Ardmore... for a mid-summer wind set it to South in the game. Use Southwest or West for variation and more shoulder season winds.
Tees: The tips on every hole are the Black tees. The Blue tees are a little shorter and provide more variety, especially on some of the par 3s.
Great to see you’re porting courses! Love Merion so very excited for this!
