What a joke course first of all. This is the biggest abortion of a golf course going! Not only is is sculpted by a blind child. Are the schedulers on crack again. Its horrendous. You hit good shots close then your chipping off the back of the green. And dont get me started on the efforts that are meant to be retaining walls Think adam hill needs to scrap that shite. I went in the bunkers round two par 5s and it cost me 7 shots as i just couldnt get out as was to close to the wall and ended up having to chip into wood to get it back far enough to flop it. Okay i shouldnt of been in there but theres penal and theres a joke. I shot ok in rd 1 and rd 3 but got shafted royally in r2 and r3. Slightly missed the green. Like 2 yards short and you cant save par. But you have to take the shot on else your thru the back due to joke greens. That one par 4 in rd 2 when you cant hit the green in two cos the trees are to high. Its just a joke. All these great courses and you keep picking dross. Well done!!!

I could be wrong but when you hit the fairway - you shouldn’t be penalized by being stymied by trees in your approach to the green (edit).
How do courses like this get approved and put on our tour? Maybe another tee set wouldn’t have these issues for CC-D but it does make you wonder!
Haven’t started my rounds but I kept noticing tree trouble from fairways which to me would be a non-starter.

Tell us what you really think mate. Don’t hold back will ya? 😂😂😂 I’ve got to be honest, its not really lit my fire, for a few of these reasons. A LOT of pins on mounds and some holes where you have no other option than to play the most dangerous shot possible. Some tree positioning means that you have to be like a laser to have a chance and negotiating them, and if the wind is not helping you, you’re shafted. Might be some people’s cuppa, but it’s not mine. Regardless, I’ll give it a go! Fair idea Australia might be back on top this week.

I kinda liked the course even if my scores don't reflect it. =) Obviously hole 16 is not ok with the trees blocking the green. Rd 2 i tried to club down to a 2W and aim left to try and get an angle but there was none. Not sure if it's meant to be like that, publishing error, or just a matter of not play testing all tees.
The rest of the course was fine to me, maybe a few too many pins set on ridges but not too bad. Liked the look of the course and the challenging tee shots.

Absolutely. Looks good too. Default weather does make it look a little extra terrestrial mind you!

I don't like complaining about courses - but the fact that I was in speed-golf mode after the 5th hole of R1 says a lot about this track I'm afraid.....
Daft retaining walls round sooooo many bunkers - just for the sake of having retaining walls (which add absolutely nothing (except frustration) to the course)
Zero enjoyment whatsoever - and then finished off by the pin surrounded by yellow in R4....... (par 3, maybe 11th?) -11 for a missed cut (or -26 total). Either way - Happy New Year and c ya next Sunday! (since that will be the next time I open the game due to total lack of interest...)

You know me fadge, No point in rolling a turd in glitter! i played pretty good in patches. Had an ace in rd 3 but my putting had to be on point due to the positions my ball was ending up most the time,i lost my head after the bad breaks as my scorecards will show. Motoring along then shafted then a number of pars till id cooled off. lowering speeds to 163 as not to have pins in yellow is bull. Pin one was borderline on some but next three rds are 163 so the greens look slightly less like josephs technicolored dream coat. Course is just not up to a standard i believe acceptable for tgct. If id of designed that i wouldnt of even put it out. Just amateurish and thats being generous. Just a waste as this slot could of been another chance for a well designed course to get a chance. Getting a course on pga is meant to the pinnacle for designers but i wouldnt put this in a society. Good luck to all that play this week. Ill be amazed if im the only one who has a pop at this track. 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩

Somehow I played even worse than last week. On the plus side, I achieved my lowest ever GIR% for a TGCT event, which means it can only be uphill from here. Gotta stay positive!

Haha, I jumped into this thread to post about how this is my favorite course we've played so far, then read everyone else's comments. Maybe some of the sculpting could be improved but from a strategic standpoint I thought it was a great test. I used every club in my bag. I actually had to shape some shots. There were good risk-reward options on several holes.
Only other complaint I had is that I would have liked to see the 187 greens twice instead of three rounds at 163 I'm not close to the lead, but given how much complaining I hear, maybe I will backdoor a top 10 just through positivity.

Sounds like my kind of course this week with all the bellyaching!

Just played my opening round and shot -6. A beauty of a course and a fabulous layout. See the leader is at -49 on PS4 and people complaining the course isn’t fair? Please

Couldn’t agree more Tim. People complain about scores being too low then a course forces exact approaches and that draws complaints too. SMH

Hate it. Suffered through it so I could give it 1 star at the end. Looks like I'll not only get one demotion mark, but two, as I'll gladly take the DQ and two strikes than play another round on this course.

I think the course is alright IF, the retaining walls were completely removed and the greens weren't as ridiculous as they currently are. Didn't mind the trees on 16 even though they cost me 3 shots. I enjoy a challenge and no course will be a bad taste in my mouth. However, I do agree with the comments as stated before. Idk who likes scheduling these courses but this thing honestly shouldn't of made it to a pro tournament. I am one hell of a putter most of the time and to see some of the putts I ended up with was a eye popping, turd glittering encounter.

The best of the best play here on the PGA Tour. If we can’t birdie every hole best we can do is b!tch and moan about the course. 🙄
