How come I didn't gain any followers from that notoriety? LOL
Yes, that's exactly what I was hoping we could do. If I stream a round and find a green, then we can go through the putting motions together while we chat on Discord. I'm totally game for that! I really want to figure this out, I mean, who doesn't want a ThunderCock?
I'll take this to PM.

Slowly incorporating thundercocking into my short game. Early results are promising. I'm still lagging longer putts, but now playing for less break and hitting them quite firm on anything less than 20-25ft. A couple of heart in the mouth moments as it smacks the back of the cup, but delighted with my play on the greens this week. Reckon I made half a dozen over the 4 rounds I probably wouldn't have last week.

I think Terry Grayson should do a video on how to plant like Chad Thundercock. If there's one thing Chad enjoys between smashing putts and picking up chicks, it's spreading some seed around as many courses as he can, whether his friends have been there first or not.

Related to the drill I recommended to VctryLnSprts earlier, I remembered a great Bruce Thundercock Lee quote that captures why doing mulligan drills on a practice green is much more effective to learn the pace/break relationship, as opposed to putting only during rounds where every putt is different:

As a convert to the church of thundercock. I have entwined it in to every aspect of my game...
Two weeks of ‘cockin’ and two little green doyley kisses. Thank you Lazza.

Had a pretty funny moment on @spartan4knights’s stream last night... He asked how I was getting on with the thundercock, and I said I needed to stream a lesson with you. But then I typed this in his chat: 🌩🍆 and he asked why I was putting a cloud squash there, but statelyowl said “no, that’s a thundercock!” So now the official name for getting a thundercock putt wrong should be “cloudsquash”. Haha! *someone did point out that it’s not even a squash, it’s an eggplant. LOL

@larrymalone - we should set up a time to meet on Discord so I can stream a practice session with you teaching me. I think that might take the thundercock lessons for the community to the next level. I don't mind being the sacrificial lamb goat here.

This is exactly the kind of tutorial I was looking for. I play TGC since November '18 and am struggling with the same problem as Eric from the first post: very consistent driving (almost always above the 90%s), quite consistent GIRs (often on the 80%s) and very poor putting. This week TGCTours tournament even managed to make a round of 32 putts. That is horrible and killing every possibility to reach the promotion mark, now that I am not anymore a CC-Z player (currently CC-F). Averaging -3/-4 for the round is not bringing you anywhere but that "virtual purgatory" that is CC-F when you score good enough not get demoted but also bad enough not to get promoted. Finished 60th this week, having played to rounds of -10.
I have the feeling that I am missing consitent, Bruce-Lee-like (I loved the quote some posts ago!) practice. I have the feeling that I start playing flimsy taps, then get angry with the two or three putts missed by an inch, then start hitting it hard... get angry bc of missing holes by way too long and generating 3-putters...go back to flimsy.... and so on. So the plan is to spend a few hours at the practice green and mullligan until I nail them. Good pieces of advice, sir!

I FINALLY committed to doing the whole practice program prescribed by Larry above before my tour round this morning. Despite hitting the ball terribly with an indifferent short game in high winds I managed a -6 on 187 greens (forgot to check my putting stats). I'm going to try and make that putting practice my Sunday morning ritual. Now if only I could fix my tempo...

When the grids are off - the choice wether to Thundercock or not becomes quite interesting. Some of the returns are bound to be nasty.
7-10 feet is shaky knee time without grids with some slope and speed to the green.

I haven't gotten myself into any of the TST or UST stuff yet, but I totally agree. Thundercocking has mostly been a success for me (besides this week) because I am draining the missed putts on the way back that TEND to be uphill ones with some side slope. I would have not have as much confidence in the return putt if there were no grids, that's for sure.
