I know we all take this very seriously but surely I'm not the only one to think hidden lakes is a bit of a nightmare. Or am I

Do you mean Hidden Links Golf Club. It can be had in lighter winds, but when the wind blows over 15mph fugitaboutit!!!
The fairways are like a lunar landscape and the heavy rough will bite you.
I am not a wind waiter type of player, Saturday is my day to play, but....................

Played a practice round in 12-16 winds. Went off on the first few holes sitting at (-5) through 6.....
....still at (-5) putting out on 18. Ouch.

I was tempted to cross over but thought the same as Gary and I'll give it a bash I'm just slightly nervous that end result will be quite painful

Hidden links is awesome. Hooked a driver into a 17mph headwind on that long par three and ended up 65yds left of the green. Almost like in real life!
Time to polish the lob wedge and put on the scrambling shoes!

Yes, this is a tester! Hopefully the wind will stay up all week.

Hidden Links sure is a test. I played a practice round yesterday in strong winds and was struggling for birdies. I really enjoyed the challenge and shot -5 in the end. You have to think on nearly every tee shot as there are many pot bunkers waiting to catch you out. Some pin placements are wicked, but as the greens are quite slow they are accessible. A proper test this week, I doubt that anyone is going to get anywhere near the regular -50.

Yep played it yesterday in 16-20mph wind, and loved every minute, thought it was beaut, finished -1 with 1 bogey and was smiling at the end, its going to be fun next week, lol.

Yep played it yesdterday in 16-20mph wind, and loved every minute, thought it was beaut, finished -1 with 1 bogey and was smiling at the end, its going to be fun next week, lol. Had a practice round in 20mph territory as well - held on after an early double to finish 1 over. And had a lip out to get back to even on the last. Also had a big smile on my face after that round. Totally different than lipping out birdie-putts en route to a frustrating -8 on a more standard course...

Personally think it will be a great course to mix up the leaderboard and make the scores more realistic. Surely nobody wants the scores to be around -50 every week. Although there could be a broken controller after some over par rounds.

Hidden Links... Tough course. My practice rounds there haven't being great..The wind will play a huge part in this tourney.. On the plus side I'm looking forward to the challenge this course presents over 4 rounds to myself n the field. On the negative side I'm very doubtful that I myself will shoot 15-20 under for the tourney, could be over par quite easily but hope not!! I predict between 25-30 under will win it.. good luck to all!! seeing as we're headed for thailand I may take a kick boxing lesson n then show Andi Smith a thing or two
