It's windy...........very windy in R1.
There are a couple of par 4's that are out of reach, and 3/4 more that are two bloody good hits - if you can hit the slivers of fairway off the tee.
And then you have the 18th......lots of splash possibilities even though it is helping (sort of - a gale off the right too)
Reasonably happy with -4 to start.

High winds again in R3 - and if I got 33% GIR I'll be amazed. Somehow managed another -4, including another water ball into the 18th green

Damn it, that sucks. I played that 1st round with very high winds at least 5 different times and managed to reach the greens every time. Sorry about that guys, at least it's the same for everyone though.

Don't sweat it Chris - the wind bar was practically full the whole time - 23mph winds approx - nothing you can do about that - would have been perfectly playable at the low end of V high (17-18mph). 7th was one of the really long ones - then the middle of the round had a few more nasty ones with the wind. Even the par 5 9th was driver-2W-7i (might even have been 5/6i)!!!
Even the 'default' wind in R4 is around the 10-12mph - I not only continued the awful ball striking, but forgot how to putt as well (although I will blame that on some fairly nasty pin placements )
But got some revenge on 18 with a beautiful faded 3 iron to 3ft for a closing birdie and -16 total.
Good luck all - would imagine there will be a few broken controllers out there this week

I think the R4 conditions were changed from my suggestions. I had it as Medium wind with default conditions and 187 very fast green speed, guess it'll be a mystery to me when I play. Glad it didn't give 20+ wind again though.

Going to get promoted this week and what a course to get my feet wet on. Certainly not a course you'd want to play every week, but a great test. Should actually be up my alley with a lot of long approaches and long putts. I think there are only 4 legit birdie holes out there so...don't make bogey, basically.

I think I preferred the luck of the draw when it came to wind setup for tourneys..

I’m not gonna moan about it either way, but I reckon a few days default and one “set” day would be about right.
Just for my 2p, probably in the wrong thread, but I think green speed should always be left to default, but firmness should be variable.
Carry on...

Played well after my terrible showing last week... Managed to stay bogey free in that windy round 1 and shot -5... My smooth swing continued in round 2 but couldn't get much close enough to the pin to have a huge round.. Shot -6... Im sitting -11 after two and I feel like that should make the cut.. Tough challenging course..

How do I know which of the two events I'm in? Officially you will have to wait for last weeks' results to finalize and the FedEx points ran. Top 50 then will get put into the event by Admin I would assume.
Here is the points list (as of this post it is through three weeks with one week to go - the event just finished early this morning):
Edit for Dale: In all likelihood you are in the Franklin Templeton.

Thanks Bob. I looked up my standings and agree unfortunately.

-4 to open up... Disappointed with that really, although it was tough in the wind. Missed a straight putt at the start of the back 9 and had a costly 3 putt from distance to drop a shot up 16, plus 2 other putts stopped a revolution short... Shoulda, woulda, coulda Still, should be there or there abouts. GL all.
