This is what confuses me. The server side adjustments had nothing to do with the actual swing, nothing but trajectories, loft box adjustments and surface penalties. Also HB have confirmed that tempo is all client side i.e. not server based. So how can something that has changed on the server that has no impact on the swing whatsoever now be affecting people's swing?
I for 1 do not see an issue with my tempo (on Xbox) but have seen the majority of people start moaning/venting their concerns about it the most since the figures of tempo Vs other platforms were released. I certainly did not see this level of 'public venting' through Q School (only moans were about St Bedes and excitement about where they may end up) nor the 1st few days/week since the update went live.
I somehow feel this could be a bit of a placebo or maybe a get out to blame the game/system. Potentially the more people have it on their mind and seeing these ridiculous scores posted could just be messing with their swings just as much.
Since when does a game have to be that easy that anything away from a perfect/perfect is a glitch or bug in the game?
Don't get me wrong if there is an actual issue, then I completely apologise but surely that should be affecting everyone, or at least everyone on that particular platform, no?
Tis confusion!

I can attest that Phlyer has a problem with his swing, as he joined my round last night . BUT one of the guys I usually golf with for FUN has the same problem. He swears up and down, that he is swinging the same every time, which I know is not true. His problem is the very fast downswings. I told him to deliberately push over to the 1 o'clock position and magically his very fast started turning in to very slows. I notice also that he is coming down too quickly, not allowing the club to settle at the top. The only thing I do know is that I can feel when I screw up even without looking at the screen.

I also must add that the tempo issues for me are Master club based. I can get the results on Pro clubs. Problem is..I don't want to use Pro clubs, I want the added distance. Something is up, some people have figured something out and what to tweak in their controller settings(dead zones) and not trigger the API and I'm bound and bent to figure it out.

Okay here's one for you guys, and the only thing that I know about servers is that they bring the food to your table. I'm playing this weeks (3) tourney and in round 1 everything is going fine except that I'm missing putts and that's on me cuz that's where I suck in this game. Shoot -8 and could have been so much better. 2nd rd eagled the 9th from 4 ft for a -8 after 9 holes.Well, well, well look who came to play. Birdied #10 nice. Came to 11 and drove it to the perfect spot in the fairway with 88 yds up hill over water but not to worry I have a lob wedge which goes 94 yds with some bite so I'm good. I hit the shot and get a slow backswing which of course hits top of the bank and backwards into the water. Now did it feel like a slow backswing? No, not at all, but hey coulda been me. So it puts me back in the fairway a bit closer so I take a pitch shot, hit it nice and it goes way past the pin over the green like I bladed it or something. Now could that have that been my fault? I guess, but it sure didn't feel like I nailed it. So a dbl bogey after a rd and a half with nothing over par. So here comes the cool part. I go to the next hole and put it in the fairway and start to take my shot and my game crashes to blue screen.What?. Now why on earth would that happen? I could only get 2 more birds which put me even for the back 9. A darn good round gone bad. On to rd 3. Could barely miss a bunker on each hole. Shot 1 under. Started rd 4 but quit after a couple of holes cuz nothing felt right. I'm no genius, but there seems to be some kind of voodoo that screws with this game that is not related to human error. And it's Sunday, and I would venture to guess that there are quite a few people playing today. I'm not going to debate about this, just interesting what happened to my game.

No it isn't. If it were all me (and i have the exact same problem) then please will you explain to me how come that before the tweaks and patch i was getting either perfect/perfect or perfect/slow on swings yet since the changes fast/fast is now commonplace no matter what bat i am using? Tempo HAS been changed server side. It is the only logical answer and i am sorry you feel this is disinformation but i know what is happening to my game. Nothing I do can replicate the performance I was getting before the server side adjustments. This game is a mess for me. The people at the top have something figured out. Agreed. Something has definitely changed, and if it is not server side then it has been done in the patch. Before this, I never even saw a fast swing - back or down - yet they are now common, so are (oddly enough) perfect/slow (although I did used to get these before) but what really irks me is the absolute certainty in my mind that my tempo is just not that erratic (hell, I managed 2 wins last season so I cannot be as erratic as the tempo feedback suggests I am) so if it is that variable, then the points where things change from slow - perfect - fast must have been tightened up, which amounts to tempo changes whatever way I look at it. It is possible I am just wildly erratic but I am not convinced of this.

And it's Sunday, and I would venture to guess that there are quite a few people playing today. I'm not going to debate about this, just interesting what happened to my game. That's really interesting - I tried to play a private online match yesterday with another member here yesterday (Sunday) and again we were unable to get past the 8th hole in 3 attempts because of constant Bluescreen crashes on the PS4. Jeff had 2 of these, and we finally threw in the towel when I got yet another message saying he had left the in-game party & that I was the new in-game party leader so I quit as it is pointless trying to continue at this point (if I end up leader, he can never get back into the match - even if I re-invite as new in-game party leader all he ever then gets is "an unexpected error has occurred" followed by failure to reconnect. Yet the third time he says he did not crash, and it looked to him as if I had quit for no reason. The PS4 issues are terrible now in private matches - seriously unreliable and much worse since the patches
