I say hang in there. I don’t see much difference between the club sets (xbone) other than distance. Augusta is ridiculously hard. Try it again maybe on the single player tour and see if you can get the feel of em. I started with masters and when I thought they were to hard I still struggled with pro sets... I dunno. Just my two cents. I get the frustration though, there’s been a couple times I wanted to break my controller in half lol! To me there is a huge difference between club sets ... I am much more consistent hitting with the Pro clubs. I normally play with Pros, but for this tournament I started with Masters and I will finish with them. Broken controller or not ... lol But I now understand the frustration that people are having with them. I hear you. I toyed with Masters earlier in the season before finally giving up and going with Pros. Like you say, I feel a HUGE difference in control, and maybe it's just me, but I have far fewer tempo issues with Pros. Thought about pulling out the Masters for, well.... The Masters, but decided the Risk-Reward ratio just wasn't in my favour. As it turns out, outta nowhere I go -5 in the first round, which for me is a pretty good showing, considering the course.

Crashed and burned. +4 +9. A lot of missed par putts from 6 feet. Those greens get to be pretty frustrating lol... on to next week.

I see you've been a member here for like 6 months, so I'm assuming you're still relatively new to the game as well... Magnolia is a tough course for sure, especially when the green speeds get cranked up. Keep working on your game... it'll improve with experience. Like you said, though... on to next week! I've had crash and burns along the way too:

To register head over to the CC World Cup Event thread and post your Leaderboard Name, Forum Name and Current Flight. This is being run in conjunction with Promotion Event #3, so you must play in that to take part.

Doyley's Masters Notes inspired me...
CC-F Rumblefish Open Notes: (Part way thru R1)
- Early 1st round leader Ryan Borman (Canada) at -14. In 22 events on tour this season, has posted a T4 and had a T12 finish last month at the Nick Skelton Senors Championship. (Master clubs)
- 2nd place Mark Araujo (USA) sits at -12 and is on the fast track, having moved up a stunning 800 spots in the WGR in the last 2 weeks. (Pro clubs)
- 3rd place half way through Round 1 is Jakub Witczack (Poland), just one back at -11. Has had two top 10 finishes, three top 25 showings in the past month, 100% FWYs, 100% GIR, 26 putts. (Pro clubs)
- Four of the top eight so far are playing Master clubs.
- Moving Up award goes to Neil Segotta (USA), currently sitting in 31st, with 3 demotion points.
- The UK's Paul Lowes aced the 3rd en route to a -6 R1 score of 65.
- Only 8 of the current top 31 players on the leaderboard have green marks.
- Only 3 of the current bottom 20 players on the leaderboard have red marks.

Bit of an up-and-down event for me this week, missing way too many short putts.
Went with Masters clubs for the whole event for the first time, been absolutely striping it with them for a good while so took the chance. First round driving accuracy of just 57% shows I might have made a mistake! Things improved somewhat though:
R1: 70 (-1) R2: 66 (-5) R3: 70 (-1) R4: 61 (-10)
Total: -17
As per usual, that'll keep me firmly in mid-table mediocrity, I suspect. Which is nice.

Well after playing the qualifying Masters with Masters ... dead last !! This past tournament played with Pros ... and sitting 151 with two demotion strikes. I think for my well being, will stick with Pros.
Just hasn't been playing my best this past month ... can only get better ... right !!!
Just keep playing, keep competing, and best of all keep commenting.
Love reading everyone's comments, rants and observations of the game.

On the same day that Tiger Woods wins the masters in an incredible comeback story win, I too learnt of demotion from CC-E to CC-F after a fifth straight red mark to complete the Season Grand Slam of all CC-Am leagues (started season CC-Z, then CC-G, then CC-E, now CC-F).... I must say the moment is overwhelming, but had a hug after demotion from my 3yr old so all good. Same day I made level 100 in-game too!

OK, having played a practice round at Walton Copper Creek, I am happy to confirm that I'll be sitting this one out. The choice of this course is frankly preposterous for our level of play. The ridiculously small 12th green with water on both sides? No, you get in the F'ing sea.
I'll be skipping over Scarlett Inn for sh!ts and giggles instead.

If I've learned anything on tour, it's that the season is a marathon, not a sprint -- at least for most of us.
About a month ago, I was in your shoes... pretty much dead last, and also at the point where I finally gave up on Masters in favour of Pros. Had a top 10 finish last week, and this week I narrowly missed losing a green after one lousy round took any hope of a top 30 finish this week. Lots of ups and downs from week to week. In my case, I generally have respectable Fairways and Greens in Reg stats, but my putting is almost always abysmal. You wouldn't believe how many putts I leave within 6 inches of the hole per round. If even half of those go in, I'm moving up 30-40 spots each tournament. So, even though my putting sucks at the moment, I'm also close to getting it more dialed in.
Hang in there...

Hmmm... you sure you want to sit out? I mean, 65 of of the 67 CCFers who've teed off so far have finished their first round under par....
