As I get ready for the Billy Mays Memorial, I wondered if any of you have advice for what clubs you like to have in your bag with Pro Clubs. I've spent the last few months on the BCT, and was using Master Clubs on Web.com before that, so I'm pretty new to the Pro Clubs golf bag. What do you guys like for a mix? D 2w 1i 3i 5i 6i 7i 8i 9i pw sw gw lw pt

Is there a reason you prefer the 1i over the 2h Kevin?

Is there a reason you prefer the 1i over the 2h Kevin? 2h is trash out of the rough. 1i out of the rough constantly saves my butt.

After various experiments I decided to use (as standard) D, 2w, 2h, 5h, then all the irons from 5 to 9 etcetera. But before every round I check the course and conditions.. and if I find at least 2 par 3s that requires a club that I miss, I change generally one iron (normally the 6) to implement one h or w. If there are not par 5 reachable in 2 shots, often I quit my 2w and change all my woods and hybrids, leaving a big void between my driver and my second club, to deal better with the medium/long distances.
About the choice between hybrids and irons..it depends. Probably, if your strong point is to deal with the wind, hybrids are better, cause they are much more sensitive to the wind (the lateral wind can be ridiculous on them, especially if you deloft) but personally I control way better the roll than with the corresponding iron. But obviously it depends also on how you good are dealing with firm and fast greens. If greens are soft, probably irons are better. And if you suffer wind, probably irons are a bit easier to use, when it blows seriously. All depends on your strong and weak point, I suppose. But the good thing about hybrids is that if you menage them properly, you can menage everything.

Really looking forward to Season 6. Had a great time competing on CC-B last year. Good luck to everyone!
