Any Irish still celebrating Lowry's Open Championship? I was pulling hard for him and (from what I've read) couldn't have happened to a better guy!
Finished up last night. Was part of the hordes running up the 18th fairway on Sunday screaming. Probably the greatest thing i have ever attended and i have done the World Cups, Olympics etc. Maybe my native Mayo winning the All Ireland in gaelic football would come close (dont expect anyone here to know what i mean by that!). Lowry is as close to one of us as you could ever get. No living in a compound in Jupiter, Florida for our Shane. He's been on the razz since. Homecoming tonight in Clara, Co. Offaly. Ireland punching well above our weight in Major Championships. Hon Lowry!

-7 R1 which should've been more like -4 or-5. Only hit 43% of the fairways and 67% of the greens, but made a few low percentage chips (one out of the greenside bunker on 9 for eagle) and putts (a 38' and another longish one that went uphill then back downhill breaking about 6' from right to left can't remember which hole) to save the round. My 2 bogeys were just dumb mistakes. Tried to drive it over the trees onto the green on 10 and hit the top of the tree and went in the water and a 3 putt on 11 from like 15'. The course is really nice, but tee shots were tricky.

Just within the past half hour he has come out of a bar across the street from my office in Dublin and got on a bus with all of his family and friends to travel a couple of hours to his tiny hometown for his homecoming. Was tempted to bail out of work and see if they would let me on the fun bus! The party is only getting started. You wont be seeing him in Memphis this week for any St. Jude Classic

Sam do you play and design on PC, I’m getting a gaming laptop Sunday so I’m thinking of using it for designing on. Don’t ask why a laptop I’ve been through that on other threads basically I don’t have room for anything else. How does Steam work do you buy your games through steam and do they only run through a steam interface. Do you connect a controller to design with or do you use a mouse. Pretty much answered your own questions Les..... Yes, I play & design solely on PC (a quite expensive, high end gaming machine). For Steam you just register & download the free client (server) & buy the games from the store..... here's my current front page >>>> You then download the digital version of a game to your hard drive (Steam Folder) & play it from your games library.... I've got 94 of which 17 are currently installed (you can uninstall games but don't lose them & can reinstall whenever you want) Here's my current games page >>>>> I use a Microsoft XBox Elite controller for Windows to both play & design when running TGC2019. You can use a mouse but I found it much easier using a controller. Take a look at this video which gives far more info than I could (Just keep in mind it's 3 years old so they have updated lots of the features & graphics) >>>>> I'm taking it for granted that the laptop you're buying can handle high end gaming & is worth quite a few £££££

Decided to try my hand at master clubs this week as opposed to pro clubs. The biggest difference I noticed is that I was holing considerably fewer putts, which was extremely frustrating. -8, -7, -7, -10 for -32 total. Still solid enough but I doubt it will be good enough for a green mark. More practice required I guess but enjoyed the challenge nonetheless. Nice and challenging course too.

One of the few highlights I've had this week, an eagle from 192 yards that over shot the pin rolled off the green then on again and proceeded right to the hole.
