So who's going to tell me how in the world to sculpt behind this wall to get it to look right?

May need to add a second layer of posts? Perhaps you could also use long grass so you don't need to raise the land behind the wall all the way up. Alternatively, you might be able to live with the sand being raised in front of the wall. So who's going to tell me how in the world to sculpt behind this wall to get it to look right?

Alternatively, you might be able to live with the sand being raised in front of the wall. I definitely don't love it as much, but at least the shape of the wall is correct and it's better than just the regular retaining wall pieces. Also disappointed that none of the themes have anything that looks like that tall reedgrass clump that's ALL over this course.

Hole 3 sculpting, and yes, that tree blocks the green on the second shot in. It's a short par 5, but you have to navigate the tree. Hole 4 is a blind par 3 "Himalayas" hole, and the green is 90 yards front to back. Can play as a blind 110-yarder or a semi blind nearly 200-yarder depending on pin placement.

A little preview of one of the holes on the fictional back 9 that jwfickett and I are passing back and forth. I'll do a site overview and hole-by-hole once it's all finished, but this is going to shape up VERY nicely, I think.

Lots of work done today on this thing. We'll start with possibly the best hole on the nine, #5. A par 4 that plays less than 300 yards and can range anywhere from albatross to triple bogey. This shot is peeking over the front bunker that guards the green and stares you in the face at the tee box. And the green wraps around a "Devil's a##!0#l" like bunker. #6 is a long-ish par 4 cape hole: And the biarritz #8: I'm hoping I can finish all the front 9 sculpting tonight so the RCR-portion will be wrapped up and we can focus on the fictional back 9 before we go back in with details and planting to get it ready for playtesting.

You guys are unbelievable! Looking awesome so far and I can't wait to see all 18 when done. Brian has a good eye for sculpting and works at a much faster clip than I do. I'm trying to keep up here! But we've got a routing and some good ideas for the back so we just want to have it live up to the RCR front. The 18th green might make some heads explode when it is done...and the width on this par 5 we are gonna build as the 14th might be insane. There will be like 8 routes to the 600+ hole making you pick which side of the fairway you want to be on to pitch onto a shallow green. Cross country holes everywhere!

Pffft this guy jwfickett planted one bunker on #10 and I was like "yep congrats, you get to plant my front nine too". He's also got the actual architect of Sweetens Cove, Rob Collins, on speed dial and has sent him the back 9 routing, hopefully getting some pics of the rest of the property we're building on, and has offered to let us bounce ideas off of him, etc. We may have to take a shot at doing the Buck Club next, who knows?

One more because I like you guys. View from the incredibly modest clubhouse, overlooking the 9 green to the left, the biarritz 8 in the middle, and the future home of the gigantic Sitwell Park tribute green for 18 on the right. And ryanmcconnell you're welcome to help on the Buck Club as long as you describe holes you like using adjectives like "gross" and "disgusting".

I wasn't able to snap any pictures last night before bed because I had already played way past my bed time, but I was able to get the 13th, 14th, and 15th holes mostly sculpted and partially planted last night. I also did some tree planting on the front nine, and importantly, added the porta-potty behind the first tee/9th green. Realism is gonna be off the charts here, folks. Will post photos tonight after I plant some of the front holes. gamesdecent absolutely crushed the sculpting and let me tell you that when I'm done planting this thing, I think it will be incredibly close to the real deal.

We're also planning on releasing the 9-hole RCR, our 18-hole version, and also a match play routing with "off the menu" holes that play from one hole's tees to another hole's green to switch up the looks for those that like to play games where par doesn't matter. Edit: Oh, and jwfickett, I'll see your porta-potty and raise you the sand pile behind the clubhouse (clubtrailer?).
