Totally hypothetical but say I had a nightmare at Bedes and ended up looking at CC-B or lower (no offence fellow CC'ers) - if I skipped next week at Pearl Necklace would my tour card not be issued so that I would have to go through a normal in-week Q-School setting? I know I can play much better than I did at Bedes, but hey - I'm asking for a friend. Correct - but that would be attempting to 'game' the system - and 'your friend' wouldn't want to do that would he/she? Thought as much, fear not I'll take my +10 into this week and see what I can do, if not CC A-Z it is.

After this many rounds it's pretty clear I don't get it. Seems to be very random and AI generated. Funny how I swing the same way and get different results. I'm done with it. HB screwed up a great game for me. You "may" feel that you swing the same way, but unfortunately your tempo results say otherwise... With that said, go hit the range and follow this: 1) Make sure that your DS4 is plugged in via USB... Make sure that USB connection is enable in your PS4 settings. 2) follow this link: www.google.ca/search?q=metronome&oq=metronome&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l2j69i65j0.5280j0j8&client=tablet-android-samsung&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-83) Set the metronome to 64bpm 4) Complete your backswing on the first click 5) Complete your downswing on the second click 6) Make a smooth transition between the 2 clicks, no smashing of the analog stick forward Let me know how that goes. You may have to adjust the bpm's to suit your "internal" clock. 64 bpm's is a starting point and you may need to slow it down a bit or make it a bit faster depending on how your ear the click! One beat at a time! I actually tried your tip and have to admit it worked. Not only did it sort out my tempo issue but it's also straightened out my swing too. A big thank you. I was close to giving up on TGC19 as like many others I thought it must be dodgy mechanics within the game... Only dodgy mechanics were within my thumb and forefinger thigh lol. Cheers again

Cheers again Great info in here. I got killed by this tempo crap on two of my rounds last night. Completely ruined my qualifying and now I’m debating just to wait and re-qualify. So if I don’t finish all 8 rounds is there just a new q school that starts up the following week? Also, do you need to play with controller plugged in at all times?

I guess because the BT is so inconsistent. But you need to make sure you change the device to USB from BT. It really makes a huge difference.

Metronome? Are tour players allowed to wear earbuds? I find this as bad as the straight controller guys.
"Oh, I play with no aids. Everything is turned off. What speed should I set my metronome at?"
Pretty pathetic.

I guess there are some that feel they should be great at the game out of the box, then shoot a bad round and all of a sudden the sky is falling and they want to pitch it in the trash! You know you're getting old when you stick to the 'practice makes perfect' philosophy rather than trying some gimmick or extensive web search to get details on what one could possibly be doing wrong. OR just chalking it up that there must be something wrong with the game. Geeezzz, play the game for a couple of weeks and magically one might get better!

Pretty pathetic. I didn't wear any earphones. It annoyed the crap out of my wife. :+) I also didn't have the controller plugged in. I just made sure it's fully charged. I use the original ps4 controller so don't have a USB option. Why is it pathetic? It's just training my thumb speed I don't see how it's classed as straight shooting as I've not modded my controller in any way. Thinking about it that way though then couldn't plugging the controller in be classed in the same way? Seeing as it gives those who can't plug in a disadvantage?

Spent hours and hours and hours on the driving range. Just can't get my forward tempo correct for the life of me.. Somebody on here posted a tip.I tried it and it worked. Pretty much like the tips People post on wind and elevation.. Oh and I shot +7 as a final score on Q school.. Even in the first round, +3 in the second round. Even third round and +4 the last round( whilst using the metranome.

I don't know how any of that shady stuff works. So, it's just training your thumb speed? So it can't be used in tournament play? How does that work? If it's the "honor code", well it's 2018. No such thing.

I'm not a fan of straight shooters and have left so many societies because of them. It runs the game for everybody...I'd hate it if anybody thought I was one. Tempo is a nightmare, I hit perfect/perfect in practise swings and on the driving range but then when taking my shot it's a lottery. Wasn't sure whether it was a game issue or even my controller seeing as its years old. As I said somebody on here posted a tip and I tried it.. It was my last chance saloon because I stopped enjoying the game.
