Once the season begins members with no tour card will need to register for qschool as per our rules/policy page.
For the upcoming practice event and the 2 week qschool following everyone will be automatically registered by TGCT admin.
Everyone should double check it auto registers them on the correct system (it will auto register you based off your preferred system in your TGCT user profile for those of you with multiple systems).

I hate to be that guy and was going to wait until tomorrow to see if my scores showed. I changed my name (steam name, not leader board name) around 10 this morning. Have played all my rounds and notice I have no scores in the "report problem row" Though I see peoples scores are being posted to the leader board. I double checked, triple checked to make sure I've entered my name correctly on tgct.com edit profile page. In fact I copy and pasted right from Steam. Now on to my question, I noticed I never put PC on my preferred system drop down, changed and submitted around 30 minutes or so ago. I was just going to wait until tomorrow and hope the site caught up and everything was fine, no desire to bug you guys with a support ticket yet in case it sorts itself out but saw you post about "preferred system" so thought I would ask. /sorry to be "that guy" lol/

Good to get it sorted this week so you have a stress free qschool next week.

Doyley when Q school starts do you need to have rounds 1 and 2 done by the end of Thursday night or can you potentially play all 4 rounds 2 hours before the deadline on Saturday night? Figured I'd ask as there are alot of new members who might not be familiar with deadline rules.

Just finished the final test tournament and my scores didn't show on the leaderboard in tgctours website. It's showing the leaderboard from some previous event in the past. I have not even turned my system on today and yet I have a score up there.
My guess looking at the card of a par 70 where the two par 5's are #2 and #4 that this event is whatever week Merion East was on the World Tour last season.

Mystery solved. I distinctly remember making a Double @ the 9th in that one which would explain my scorecard.
Turning into a long goodbye to the Rocher

The only time the first 2 round deadline comes into play is when there are cuts.

That's the intention for Q-School and will be put to test this week - should be able to play all 4 rounds on the last day with no issues.

yea, was more of a joke than anything. It's been 3 days? They couldn't change anything now, could they? I mean, honestly I liked it before the change. Had to think about where to land the ball. This is just TGC2 with crappier 45-60 yd options. And the greenside bunker % is WAY off. I found pre-patch more fun. I'm with you on this - now that the lofts have all been nerfed, I find that on a "normal" shot with a lob wedge even at full loft it is impossible to get any backspin - it's one bounce & stop or stop dead - no back spin at all, which is poor. Before the patch I had my wedge game well figured out knowing exactly how much loft to add to get a certain carry & snapping back towards the hole - this is no longer possible as far as I can tell and in all honesty it now feels like throwing darts as the roll-on has also been massively reduced which frankly sucks big time. All those who were moaning about the roll only needed to think about where to land the ball - not every hole should be a birdie opportunity, and the patch has set things up so that you have very little to lose by going flag hunting on every hole. It just feels dumbed down to me although I do confess that this may well be a case of severely sour grapes because all the hours I spent getting everything sorted out, knowing what swing strength (half & 3/4 shots were figuring highly for me) and loft I needed to use a lobber and get it way up in the air or 50 yards with backspin - now even at full loft with a full swing it flies a good 85 yards, bounces & stops dead. I really wish they had addressed genuine problems though - for example, where is the bunker shot option where I can choose how much sand I take? Why are fairway bunkers from good lies (where it ought to be possible to pick it off the sand) seeing a 25-30% penalty? Where is my option to move the tee position on the box? Where is the option for having the ball further back or forward in my stance? Still - it is what it is and HB will not change it. Before the patch, I would hit a flopped lob wedge and the ball would still roll out at least 5 feet. Now, I'm back to the old days of having to play past the hole to adjust for spin. I've also found that playing from sand and rough isn't as punishing as the game indicates. If I'm in a greenside bunker, and it says 75%-79%, I just play it as a normal shot. Same is true for greenside rough/heavy. Even 150 out from rough that's 68%-74% is playing more like 89%-91%

Valmont final tune-up is from the white tees (7300ish yard) per Doyley. Can't remember if I saw that in a thread or he mentioned it in the shoutbox. But I do remember that being said. Thanks, Bob I played two rounds from the whites master then pro +19 +8 I'm going to stick with pro clubs for now and probably end up back on my home planet "Z" after q-school where I belong.

Well R1 +19 I'm ready to go lol (master clubs) I'll use (pro clubs) for R2 and go from there. Very impressed this course design, it even triggered my fear of heights lol. . Play Valmont.(Velmont?) Also designed by Artic Fury if you want fear of heights, My bad Rod, I should have mentioned it was Valmont. That must have taken some time to create. Very impressive! 2 rounds +27, heading for St. Bedes. When the tour starts I'm going to avoid any speeds over 175. I just can't handle those high green speeds.
