I think the driving range is open 24/7

Courses are loaded from the server each time you play. There is no need to store an individual course on your hard drive/memory unit. Ah okay; thanks! Apologies for the silly questions; I have been away from video golf games for about 10 years - Links series on PC - and only bought my very first PlayStation this summer. This whole console-based stuff is something I am still getting used to... ;-) Lol been there. When I got the newest PS4 I could not figure out we’re the start button was. Also played LINKS for years on a tour. No questions are stupid

I think the driving range is open 24/7 It's more about making sure that HB's update isn't broken, that all the data comes over via the API - including scores, statistics, and controller inputs - and that players have time to adjust to the Fair Play Policy, if needed.

It's been 3 days? They couldn't change anything now, could they? I mean, honestly I liked it before the change. Had to think about where to land the ball. This is just TGC2 with crappier 45-60 yd options. And the greenside bunker % is WAY off. I found pre-patch more fun.

I think this game is leaps and bounds above TGC2. However, I'm in the minority on this opinion. Edit: I don't leave myself those distances if I can help it!

You shouldn't have to TRY to not leave it there. Most golfers can play that shot.

I mean, honestly I liked it before the change. Had to think about where to land the ball. I think the ball trajectory and spin changes are great, but I also wish HB would bring back the ultra-firm setting that existed in TGC1, just so that that's available to us. As it stands now, the range of green firmness is too narrow.

I wouldn't mind if the pitch shot was eliminated entirely. Lol

You shouldn't have to TRY to not leave it there. Most golfers can play that shot. I'm pretty legit at real golf and I won't leave myself inside 55 yards unless I'm going for a green. I can hit from inside 55, I just prefer not to. I see what you are saying, though. The pitching/flopping is kind of strange in this game. Also, I can't seem to get the tempo down for pitches. That's because I suck at this game and most of my good rounds are flukes. Tempo be damned!

Well, tempo isn't the same for pitch shots. That's the issue. IMO. We were all taught to accelerate with the wedge on pitches.

Meh. Just a game I guess. Lol. I'm a 3.5 real golf. +12.6 on here. So, fun. By FAR the best golf game option out there.

Meh. Just a game I guess. Lol How dare you! You'll have the Tinfoil Hat Squad out with talk like that! Yes, a game. If only other people could see that.

I think they did a good job. I liked it before, but I guess you have to accommodate some of the whiney complainers so they can feel special. "I can't spin it like the pros". Well, guess what? You aren't a pro. Realistically, you can't please everyone. Still. It's a fun game.
