The biggest problem might be, that the game plays so differently on the different systems. PS4 seems to play way easier than PC and Xbox. You hear it in the forums and you can see it when you look at the society scores. PS4 scores are way lower on average. You may also find that the majority of the better players are on PS4 and this is why the scores on average are lower, I shot my best ever round today on PC -17 around Gotham in the cc-am event, yes it played easy and I rolled a sh%$ tin of putts in but I’m not sure you can use the argument the one console is easier than the other I I’ve herd that there is a difference between a controller and a mouse, I use a controller on PC, only cause that’s what I’m use to

I don't know if it's true - i only play on PC. But we here it on the HB forums too.

I often wonder how many complaints on tempo diff there would be if everyone on PC used a DS4 and played at a locked 30fps with the same graphical settings... So many variables, especially in input device... I have 3 DS4's that all behave differently!! Any suggestion (and I'm not suggesting your post is) that PS4 is coded to be and is inherently easier than PC or Xbox is tinfoil of the highest order.

I wasn't planning on buying 2019 after hardly playing TGC 2 much but reading the changes for season 5, I am concidering a purchase. This might not be for a few weeks though. My question is if we miss this Q school will there be any difference in the monthly Q-schools later on?

Yeah, bored of the 'which club set' debate, let's start the 'which system is easiest' debate! Should be good for another 60 pages or so.... dh-nufc Deano, welcome back mate! Yes, there will be weekly Q-schools as per after the initial mass one. I might be in the same boat as I won't be getting the game until next Friday. I'll see how I go over those first few days before deciding whether to jump straight in or not.

I'm really torn. I can shoot competitively on Pro clubs about 70% of the time I would say. No where near that mark with Masters. I'm not even at 80% of my swing being P/P tempo on Pro clubs and am at about 30-40% on Masters. So the two options are to play with Pro clubs and be relegated to CC tour until I feel I can get the tempo down enough to compete and work my way up (which is something I never actually ever really had to do beyond one tour) and might be fun. Or other option is take my chances with the masters clubs and potentially be in a tour way above my skill level. I want to play and have fun but I also want to be able to compete. I've played two TGCt tours and was +24 on one and -17 on the other so I would say my skill set lies somewhere in between as I struggle to play under par with Master clubs. I have no idea what tour an EVEN par average would put me, PGA, Euro, Web? Basically I think it is better to work your way up through the tours as your skills progress and with the new promotions being slower, we won't see quick promotions for getting in the top 10 or winning an event. That being said, I do believe that the admin should have the ability that if someone wins a CC tournament by 20 strokes, a promotion may be in order for balance. Basically a field promotion. All things considering I think I can count the number of rounds played on Masters with two hands. My thoughts exactly...... The problem with playing with Pro clubs and hoping I get better seems impossible. They are so easy to hit with, I am sure that if I start playing consistently with Pro clubs it will never make me better. I can almost close my eyes and swing perfect/perfect with Pro clubs 95% of the time. Master clubs however seemed okay for xbox before the update a week ago, but since it seems to have changed drastically. I can barely hit par on a round now.

Thanks lads. Hoping for Euro, will be dirty if I fall any lower than Web. Best I get practicing, pitching is still a nightmare... Flops are my night nightmare lol. Giving myself some 15/20ft+ putts most of the time lol. Pitching has been a bit better for me, but damn, one fast downswing and you turn that 52yd pitch into a 65/70 one haha. Sweaty hands with pitches and flops. I much prefer a full normal shot haha. Same. I loved the pitches on TGC2, finding myself leaving 100 now if I can.

Just saw this, and wanted to chime in that I LOVE all these changes!!
I had started back in the spring, I think, and landed on planet Z and correctly stayed there in TGC2. When I moved to TGC19, I decided to just make the switch to Master clubs as I switched games, and learn them with the new game mechanics. I love those clubs. I am still learning them, sure, but overall my scores are better. And I have to do a warmup round, it takes me around 6-12 holes just to get my tempo in the right place. I have to do mine on a course, I can't tell anything from the driving range. But just comparing master to when I was playing with the pro clubs, even when I hit a bad shot, now, I can correct it easier, because while off the mark, I'm closer to the hole, and I can use less club to correct my mistake.
but enough of that tangent.
I'm just here enjoying the competition. Don't care which division I end up in, I'll compete with whoever else I'm against, and I'll play to win every round. If I don't win, I don't mind, it just gives me drive to get better. Every one of those new rules, I love, and I'm looking forward to the new season starting up! Thank you to all the people that put time into this website.

Would always play for 45/55/65 yards previously and avoid the flop unless I absolutely had to hit it.
In 19 I am finding the pitch the hardest shot to execute consistently so am either playing for a full wedge or to be inside 30 yards

IMO the hardest shot in this game in the long-range putt, anything longer that 50 feet. and if it is uphill, forgetaboutit.

Most definitely true. Now instead of playing for 40-70 yards, I’m playing for either 35 yards and in or more preferably 80-100 yards out. Heck I can’t get within 15 feet on any pitch regardless if it’s 45 yards or 70.
