You know its sad when I have 0 desire to get on and play my rounds. Not sure what I'm going to do. I'm not having fun anymore. Def feels like a chore more than a game. I just posted similar to this in BoB.

You know its sad when I have 0 desire to get on and play my rounds. Not sure what I'm going to do. I'm not having fun anymore. Def feels like a chore more than a game. Yep last night was exactly that for me... I committed to playing the CC rounds each week for a Team Format called HTF and man oh man those were a pain last night. Feel rather obliged to play as all 4 team members scores count and don't like leaving my mates hanging. 4 Painful rounds done. Went from that to having to play my last two Elite rounds after somehow making another cut with zero effort in the first two rounds. 2 more painful rounds done. 6 Rounds done and zero enjoyment out of it. The lady is upstairs "patiently" waiting for me to finish up... Finally on to the XB Society rounds lol. Fortunately I enjoy the XB societies a bit more but after force feeding myself 6 TGC rounds I was a little out of gas. Still have Swing n Miss, Race to 2K and BoB to get done before the deadline... gonna be tough to squeeze em all in but hoping I have time. Certainly gonna reduce the amount of rounds going forward but fear not... the XB societies will always take priority. To all the organizers of our wonderful societies... please dont be offended if I miss an event this summer! Trying my best to get em all done but will certainly not be playing as much as earlier in the year.

This isn't fun. I 100% respect if the difficulty level stays on Master (BOB and R2K) for future seasons but I can't continue to subject myself to this frustration. I'll play the seasons out for these three great societies as I love my guys, see where the choices are if any adjustments are made and then make my choice regarding future participation.

Regarding the swing gents.. I know the masters clubs are very hard now but as i discussed with moneyman273 on Thursday I think because we a vast amount of players in all different skill levels I dont really want to drop to pros. Hense the groups. They are sorting themselves out now to where each group is highly competitive even if our scores are crap or good guys are picking up 3 or 4 points even with a +5 score. I hope you all still stick around. Am trying to find easier courses too to help keep the scores low

You could give me a putt putt course and I still wouldn’t be able to hit the greens in regulation with what HB has done. I play in hunt for the golden cow competition bc its actually fun seeing who can have the “worst” score. This week, I was +72 for 4 rounds. I dropped to a 267 driver, now instead of using a 285 driver to only hit 240, my 267 only goes 213. I still find myself with 5 attempts out of the sand. I have to use a 4 iron from 200 Yards out bc I know the red fast is going to knock that club down to 220. I bet ever par 3 I play I have a double On bc the first shot is fast and short. The 2nd is a short pitch or something out of a trap and it rolls back to my feet. Third does the same. This game is just a comedy of errors right now. I’m glad some have figured it out, but my poor original Xbox controllers and original Xbox one won’t get updated simply for a game that “might” get fixed via patch. On a high note, I figured out finally what the 60hz thing was. Switched it and can’t tell any difference 🤷♂️. Maybe I’m just old. Anyway, I’m still hacking around the courses. Be sure to toss me a 6-pack bc I sorely need them

You're going to hit just as many perfects vs. fasts and slows with the 267 driver as you would with the longest 295 driver (in my opinion). So you may as well take the 295 and when you have a fast or slow at least it still goes further than it would've with the 267... It's silly but this is how the game works on XB unfortunately. EDIT: This is assuming you're calibrated to at least have a perfect polling point with the 295 driver - it's possible to have the polling points be in grey fast and grey slow, but not in perfect...

Was just about to reply with this exact thought. I would encourage everyone to go with the longest driver and long irons for this exact reason. At least you'll be able to reach par 4's with an off-tempo drive. I toyed with a forgiving driver for a while but over ten rounds or so found no improvement in the amount of Perfects or slight misses. Forgiveness only really becomes a factor from short irons down imo. Definitely encourage everyone to give it a try for a few rounds.

Although only a practice round in CC Master society, I had my first -12 since the updates.

Lol, I went woth that mentality thinking if i suck this bad, may as well load up a mega driver. I was way worse haha. Thanks though it was a definitely a good thought and attempt when I tried.
