I would love to see some of the links courses used in The Open, my design skills and lack of time prevent me from doing them any justice, but would love to see a St. Andrews or Royal Birkdale etc on the tours

I would love to see some courses that force (to the extent they can) some shot manipulation. So a dogleg left where the dogleg is a hill/obstacle that is too high to just hit over and cut the corner... so it forces you to move the ball right to left to get in good position.
On that subject, courses that make the golfer think about positioning. So the guy that just automatically reaches for driver off the tee might have a shorter shot in, but at a tougher angle. Where perhaps 3 wood/5 wood would be the proper play. Longer shot in (maybe) but at a more workable angle.
Basically courses that you have to think your way around a bit, something really strategic.

I want the toughest of the tough courses again, where -40 wins by 10 shots. Not a tricked up concrete green tough, but like a copper creek tough.

I want Happy Yeti somewhere on the European Tour. Absolutely this. What a great course, also Majestic Oaks would be great and maybe one of Naywens courses, they're always challenging. I would like to see Kodiak reserve in again too, we need to be challenged.

I think my course has some of what you're looking for. The Angry Willow C.C.
