Time for my favorite time of year! Even though basketball is my main sport and golf is obviously up there as well, there’s just something special about College Football that nothing else brings. So what are your picks? I put the top 8 in terms of odds in a poll above, so either vote or name some teams below. As always, the obvious pick is Alabama. I can’t be too confident in Ohio State until all the Urban Meyer crap is cleared up, and something just doesn’t seem right to me about Clemson. My bias pick is Miami of Florida, but they have a real shot this year. And while they won’t win the championship or even make the playoff, Florida Atlantic could definitely go undefeated this year. As always, Michigan and Texas are both going to be overrated IMO, as those two always seem to disappoint. I think LSU will be a surprise, as Joe Burrow is pretty underrated. While I highly doubt they win the B1G East, I can easily see Maryland getting to a 10-win season. If he can stay away from injuries, Wilton Speight should be pretty good for UCLA and I could see them making it to the Pac-12 Championship. South Carolina is a long shot to win the SEC East with Georgia and Florida in the division, but SC will surprise quite a few people. So what’s your outlook on the season? I voted for Michigan because I have to, but even I don't believe that. I'm pretty sure they are just barely rated in the Top 20, but I don't really follow college football anymore anyways to know for sure. I'll watch all of their games as usual while I wait for the NBA season to start back up, and I'll probably go see them play at Northwestern this year.

Bama lost most of their starters, they may not een win their conference division. Being an LSU fan has nothing to do with my previous sentence

Tbh, they’re one of the teams that’s always overrated to me. But, they do have a chance to break their Ohio State streak if Urban Meyer’s gone.

Dont follow close enough to know....so I’ll throw out some powerhouses from the past who are overdue: Texas A &M, Penn State, USC, Notre Dame, heck....lets throw BYU and the Florida Gators in there too.
Any of those teams have a shot this year?

Penn State could definitely win it. USC and Notre Dame as well, but not as good of a chance I don’t think. Nebraska could come back from the dead as well, but that’ll take a couple years.

Well, if we’re talking about coming back from the dead....let’s include both the Huskies and the Cougars in Washington State.....and hmmm who else do we nominate for the Lazarus Bowl?.... oh, lets go with Air Force vs Hawaii (assuming they still have a football program).

Geaux Tigers!
Anyone interested in a non-point spread Pick Em contest? If so I'll set one up. I'll be doing one for NFL as well (NFL will include point spreads, college no).

Nice Jimmy! I’ll link it in the OP
My 1st weekly run-down: -Ohio State over Oregon State. While I see Ohio State losing to TCU without Urban Meyer, Oregon State is horrible. Like, horrible. I’d be shocked if they win in Columbus
-Texas over Maryland. Texas is overrated yet again, but with the whole situation at Maryland will probably take some focus from the Terrapin players
-Texas Tech over Ole Miss. Without Shea Patterson, I see no way that the Rebels can match Tech’s high scoring offense
-Florida Atlantic over Oklahoma. Hear me out on this one... Oklahoma lost quite a bit of talent, plus Kyler Murray is inexperienced. Up against a talented coach in Lane Kiffin with an explosive running back in Devin Singletary, this has all the makings of an early season upset. Plus, @!$# Oklahoma
-Auburn over Washington. Washington is a very good team, but I don’t see them beating Auburn. Yet... I say that because I have both teams in the CFP
-West Virginia over Tennessee. Will Grier + David Sills = lots of points. Not to mention Tennessee has been atrocious lately
-Cal over North Carolina. I’m honestly not sure what to expect in this one, but Cal was better than NC last year so... go Bears!
-Notre Dame over Michigan. I’m not really sold on Notre Dame yet but I know one thing: Michigan is potentially the most overrated team in the preseason polls
-Alabama over Louisville. With Lamar Jackson, I may give the Cards a chance. But now that he’s gone... lol no
-BYU over Arizona. That’s a total guess.
