Tough course for me. 8 birdies in 2nd round marred by a bunch of bogeys. Couldn’t putt or hold greens.

If you are still accepting new members, I'm willing to participate. I'm at work right now, but could send an in-game request to join once I get home. Currently CC-C, but I've been riding the demotion line for awhile. It may have caught up with me this week.
Thanks, Shawn

To join in the "Rivals" part here, I just need you to confirm that you are 50 or older (here or via PM). We are in the last week of Season 43. The new Season 44 will start on Sunday 15th. You will likely start in the "Div D Reserves" which is my starter division (unless I have more current members withdraw before the new season starts)

Couple more months before adding another digit.

Went ahead and played the event at Chuysky Trakt. Wow! Heck of a challenge! Might give it a go at Masters and see if I can break 100.

Once again I choked as soon as I saw your name in the vs column Ken. Put me out of my misery mate. As usual, another great season. Thanks for all your work. Seniors for ever...

Sorry Tim ( ShivasIrons), I got plagued by Slows throughout my two rounds and despite some great scrambling I could only manage -11 to Ross's -12. Congrats mate on another title.

Two shots in the water surely did not help my first round score. Still somehow managed -9 even with a double bogey. Tough course.

I think you took it easy on me mate. 😉 If only that was so. I think 60% of my teeshots and approach shots were Slow. I even restarted everything but that only helped for about 3 or 4 holes before the Slows returned. A couple of HB bunker flubs didn’t help either.

Was there another "update"? My handicap went from mid 30's to mid 60's, not that I pay any attention or care about it. Or is it the difficulty of the courses I'm playing? Just wondering...

No problem, it was a good season once again. Thanks for all your work, Ken. I’m sure Alan will come in and beat my score as well. I left so many putts out there, just burning edges. Congrats once again, Ross. Nice shoot’in.
I had played that course before, and didn’t care for it. And, even though my scores were not horrible, these rounds just confirmed that I do not care for this course. It punishes very good shots. One can hit a perfect perfect drive right down the middle, and with all these mounds in the middle of the fairway, it’s a crap shoot on where your ball lands on a particular mound. Much of the time a perfect perfect drive hits the wrong side of the mound and ends up bouncing sideways into the rough or a worse position. I have enough trouble with non-perfect shots ending up in bad spots. I don’t need the ones that I hit perfect to end up screwing me, too. Didn’t like that course at all. Im sure if I played it many more times and learned where all these mounds and slopes were at, I could come to know how or where to hit the shots for the best outcomes. But, I have no desire for any more rounds there. Wasn’t enjoyable at all.

Usually, the handicap has to do with the courses one plays. Some courses are rated in such a way that they will cause your handicap to go down. Other courses are rated such that playing your normal round will cause your handicap to increase or go up. If you are really in to it, you can find those courses that are rated which will cause your handicap to lower, and then just keep playing those. There are a bunch like that. I remember that St. Enodoc or something like that was one of the courses that would give your handicap differentials of -30 to -60. Play that one, or ones like it, and your handicap will look impressive. But, that and a .25 will get you a cup of coffee, as the saying goes. Of course, I signed up at Panera Bread and now get my coffee free.
