First post, thanks for your hospitality.
I'd like to know if tournaments can be played in my own time against ghost competitors or whether they are live and scheduled for specific times. I am hoping for the former as I am in an awkward time-zone for worldwide live gaming (PST) and have all sorts of additional demands on my time. I am very much hoping that I can sit down at 10:30pm with a glass of Scotch and play these tournaments against ghosts. Please let me know, many thanks.

That you can my friend, 3 ghost balls will automatically load up when you tee off in rd1, but you can change these through the options menu to other ghosts if you wish.

If I do not complete the January Q-tour by the end of January, will I have to start over in February?

Dumb question but where do you turn ghost balls off in tournaments?

If you don't think you can finish in January, you should wait to start Q-School in February. Reason is that the tournaments in the game are set up with Time Limits and they will actually expire should after the end of the month. We'd have no way to verify scores if we didn't run Q-School with deadlines. So if you think you can get all 6 rounds in before the end of the month, go ahead. Otherwise, wait until February Q-School to start.

Dumb question but where do you turn ghost balls off in tournaments? Once you're on the tee, hit the button to pull up the menu (I'm not sure what platform you're on but on my XB1 controller it is button with the three horizontal lines). In the menu, you'll find an option for Remove Rivals. That's where you can get rid of the ghost balls.

another new member question. While playing in the q school i noticed that the putt meter auto adjusts for me so if its a 10 foot putt downhill 2 feet the marker is at about 12 for whatever reason. Why is this? When I play outside of the q school my marker is set to always appear over the hole. Is it always like this in every tour where that option is set to on and not club only? and how come I cant change that option during q school play?

Are you sure? It auto-adjusts for me no matter where I'm playing.

If you chose club only ( i forget what option it is in the Gameplay settings) but there is an option for On, Club only and Off. Club only gives you the club and makes no adjustments, off just either gives you a driver or putter, On i believe readusts your putts for you (kind of, they do an OK job at best). I am used to playing club only and man i made some bad putts in round one of q school before I figured out what was going on with the meter. (user error i should pay closer attention and I putted like sh%$ anyways but still a setting i wish i knew about)

It's likely a bug they aren't aware of - I'd suggest posting it to their forums in the Bugs section.

It is actually an option you can select when setting up the tour (as i am trying to set one up now. For shot suggestion you can choose on, club only, and off. So I am assuming the tour was created with all the options on and no one thought the wiser (no harm no foul) personally I dont think people should get the help when reading putts and should have to move the meter themselves ( i think this is the reason i took a break in the first place when TGC instituted this change) but now that I know the option is set to on for the tours i know to pay closer attention to the putt meter. Again I wasnt blaming anyone it was definitely a user error on my part.
