I realllly want to see Fishers or NLGA in-game. Yale should be good too though. Ngla is in TGC as is a very sketchy version of Fisher's. I have plans for Fisher's in the future but these won't be RCR's. I'm also completely redoing my version of Sleepy Hollow. Unhappy with the first one I did.

I realllly want to see Fishers or NLGA in-game. Yale should be good too though. I'm actually working on a version of Fishers rn, have holes 1-5 basically completed hopefully should have the final version done in a few weeks. I have a few days off from work coming up in the next few days so hoping to get a good amount of holes done!

UNNAMED COURSE
I've been working on a tropical course recently that is taking a lot of inspiration from two Seth Raynor courses in Florida. The Everglades Club (Palm Beach) and Mountain Lake GC (Lake Wales). One thing I'm struggling with is a name for the course, so I'm open to suggestions... I currently have three holes completed. The plateau, punch bowl and redan. It's the first time I've built a course in this setting and if something looks a little odd or out of place, let me know. Here are a few pictures of the course so far...

Azure Waters GC Palm Frond Paths GC Swaying Palms GC Personally I don't like using "GC" or "CC" on my courses, so I'd drop that, but there's 3 ideas for you to take, leave or alter.

UNNAMED COURSE One thing I'm struggling with is a name for the course, so I'm open to suggestions.. What about "Flagler Straits Club" Harkens to the famous railroad barrons of Florida, the Flagler family, who amassed tons of wealth around the time Raynor was building courses. And "straits" are narrow, connective bodies of water. Kind of has a prestige element and a historical/geographical element.

Cheers, lads. Nice little idea, Job. I think I'll keep the "straits" but I'm not keen on including people's names unless it's the architects themselves. Something straits..... 🤔

Something with "Seminole"? Seminole Straits? Might be stepping on Donald Ross's toes a little with Seminole. Prolific course and name.

How about some other town name that starts with an S in Florida? -Sarasota Straits? -Sanibel Straits? -Sanford Straits? -Sebastian Straits? -St. Augustine Straits? -St. Petersburg Straits? -Southern Straits Club?

SOUTHERN STRAITS
Started work on this not too long ago, but I have already completed seven holes including sculpting and most of the planting. Very much enjoying the change scenery as I've never built a tropical course before, and I was worried about not getting the look right or being able to incorporate ocean views in an authentic way. I've just recently finished the short hole which has an infinity green that seems to reach out onto the horizon. Quite a mysterious par three from the tee as I've set the ground quite low to purposely take away the "out in front of you" look. I wanted the front bunkers and ocean to frame this hole with to give TST players that uncertainty as the green slopes from front to back and there is a thumbprint at the rear that the ball can feed into if you're not careful. The hole only plays 128yds so it isn't too demanding. Here's how it looks so far...

SPRING PARK GOLF COURSE
One of the more unusual designs in my WIP folder. Spring Park is a purely fictional nine hole course that takes a lot of inspiration from Winter Park GC in Florida. I came across a great YouTube vid about Winter Park a few weeks back and absolutely loved the setting and story of the course. This inspiration I've taken from the real thing is more for the surroundings and plot rather than the actual design, I've actually come up with something even more unusual for this game regarding the course itself.
Although the course is only nine holes, I've also built eighteen sets of tee's to make it a full course if people wish to play it that way. The tee's add a variety of different shots for both nines including, longer holes, bringing different hazards in to play and creating angles depending on which nine you play. I've tried to do this as realistic and non fantasy as possible, especially with the course representing municipal golf.
The philosophy of the design is a template course (obviously) but with a slight twist. Because I'm on PS4 and unfortunately miss out on collaboration projects with other designers in the community, I've decided to come up with my own "theoretical" collaboration - a Seth Raynor/Donald Ross template course. The templates, routing and grass face bunkering comes from Raynor. The fairway, green and bunker shaping, along with sculpting/mounding is the contribution from Ross - which will most likely be welcomed by those who do not favour the geometric style of Raynor.
The nine hole templates are as follows...
Hole 1 - par 4 - Leven Hole 2 - par 3 - Eden Hole 3 - par 4 - Redan Hole 4 - par 5 - Long/Lions Mouth Hole 5 - par 4 - Double Plateau Hole 6 - par 4 - Knoll Hole 7 - par 4 - Punch Bowl Hole 8 - par 3 - Short Hole 9 - par 4 - Bottle/Cape
All yardages aren't finalized so I'm leaving those out until the course is finished. Here are a few pictures...

Finally, i've found out what "template course" means! Enjoyed reading through this! And going to use ideas and a website i found explaining the templates. I don't love the look, personally, but i admire the dedication and appreciation of original designs; I will certainly be studying, and hopefully using, the theory
