NEW JERSEY NATIONAL
The New Jersey National project is a fictional version of what is arguably the most popular of all of Charles Bank's courses, Forsgate Country Club. I felt that this was a good opportunity to build a template hole course that might also appease those who aren't so fond of the geometric shapes.
NJ National is a template hole course that breaks from its usual look of straight edges and geometric plotting. The course is much more rounded and softer on the fairways, greens and bunkers. That said, you'll still see a wall of mounding as the bunkers are still flat bottomed and very deep.
The Course will play in the range of 7200-7300 yards in total as a par 71. I currently have the whole course routed, with all holes having their planned templates and I'm actually building this to be as close as possible to the real thing routing and template wise. The routing is pretty much the same and I'm using all the templates in the exact order of what they are at Forsgate, but with added length on some to 'modernize' the course a bit. I currently have five holes completely laid out and sculpted, 100% complete. All planting is being left out until 2019 as I'm slightly nervous about trees/plants not translating to the new game very well.
Here are some early pictures...

Just a quick couple of pictures for the newly built Redan and Short. I guarantee that the short on NJ National will have the biggest thumbprint on any green in TGC!

UNNAMED COURSE - MOUNTAIN LAKE FICTIONAL
A brand spanking new project I've just started tonight is a fictional version of Seth Raynor's Mountain Lake CC. This course will also have design features from another local Raynor course in Florida that goes by the name of 'The Everglades Club.' Best way to imagine how this corse might look, is to think of it as a template hole version of Sawgrass. Tall palms, retaining walls, loads of water, plenty bunkers and mostly flat.
This design will definitely look very different to other Raynor style courses I've done/doing. I have many fresh ideas for this design, including building a heavy amount of run off areas around the green that are built entirely out of green fringe! (newly discovered technique) The bunkering and fairway and green shapes are going to be the sharpest I can possibly get them, pure geometric madness.
I'll be properly starting to build the holes tomorrow when I finish up my selection of templates and how they're going to sit. I've done minor work already such as flattening the whole plot, picking the textures, lighting and testing out the new fringe technique. I'll leave a couple of real life Mountain Lake pictures below to give you a glimpse of the style of course...

Finally back on the job after porting over five of my TGC2 courses. Looking forward to putting out some classic designs and posting up some more progress of all my WIP's. Let this era of template fetish begin!

It's looking increasingly likely that an original version of Briarcliff Hollow will be out within the next day or two. Write up, flyover and hole by hole guide will follow..

Briarcliff Hollow has been completed. Due to this being a contest course in CLV's 'OG Design Contest,' I will be holding it back until the publication window opens.
I'm going to leave some fresh pictures of the course, but the hole by hole write up will come at release. I will post up a flyover at some point between now and publication.

NEW JERSEY NATIONAL
I've been trying out the detailing on this course since 2019, so I haven't really built much, just the par five 13th and the foundations of the Biarritz green for the 17th. I've been mostly playing around with the trees and objects, putting up a boundary wall/fence along the whole of the west side of the course, and also planting patches of grass here and there, particularly around the Punch Bowl green. I'm going to try and have all eighteen laid out by next weekend and that will leave me with a mammoth amount of detailing to do. Anyway, here are few fresh pictures of the course...

NJ NATIONAL
A quick update after a lengthy break. All 18 are down, sculpted and bunkered. The only thing left for me to do is plant grass, detail the clubhouse/facilities and then pin the course. I'm predicting it will be done within the next day or two. There will be the original version that caters to players of all skill levels, and then the Tour version will follow shortly after.

GREENBRIER CC - RAYNOR
Under way on a brand new course that will be part of Griffs Invicta design competition. Currently through three holes and halfway through the fourth. I'm trying a different approach with this design. With the course being purely fictional I'm routing as I go rather than having a routing master plan already in place. Free form design. I'll post up some pictures later on showing the first few holes.

GREENBRIER CC - RAYNOR
I've put in a LOT of work this week on the course. I've managed to finish three full holes including sculpting, planting etc. But mainly I've been mass sculpting the land in and around the planned routing of holes I haven't built yet and I've also completely tree lined the course. Beats doing it last! I'm aiming to have this course looking as clean as possible, with it being a resort course. Immaculate sculpting and planting are a top priority. Anyway, just finished building the 'punch bowl' hole and the 'Redan.' Here are a few pictures...

YALE
Most people consider Fisher's Island to be Raynor's crown jewel. It's an excellent course but for me, Yale is Raynor's finest work along with Shoreacres. CLV currently has a WIP of Shoreacres going so I'm going to leave that alone and watch the master do his thing.
Yales signature hole is the par three 9th Biarritz hole. This is the hole I jumped to to give me inspiration for the rest of the build. This Biarritz is definitely one of kind given the topography. Not only will this Biarritz have the deepest swale (the swale at Yale) as its often referred to but, it also has a pond that stretches from tee to green that must be carried and can present some very risky but exciting tee shots to front pin positions. Here's how it's looking so far...

I realllly want to see Fishers or NLGA in-game. Yale should be good too though.
