Two questions that occurred to me during the night (always good not getting any sleep!):
1) If a player (in Euro, Web or CC) qualifies in this event, but also earns an exemption this week in their regular tour - I'd suggest that the exemption carries over an extra week for those players (if there is anyone) - it would be rather unfair to stop someone having the opportunity to earn a higher tour card because they did well in both events in the same week and then couldn't play their exemption next week. (Same obviously applies for the Open in 5 weeks time)
2) In the Masters, any non-WT player who made the cut earned a WT card - will the same apply in the US Open and The Open? Although more players qualify for the last 2 days in the Opens, it's still the same % of the field that make it. 1. Exemptions don't carry over anymore so they'll expire - if guys want to skip the major and play on their exemption I'll allow that via an email to commish@tgctours.com 2. I'll allow anyone that finishes in the top 20 to earn a World Tour card - which is the normal cutoff to get promoted from PGA Tour. That's disappointing re the exemptions - especially considering that in real life, an exemption earned on the PGA Tour at the Fedex St Jude this week (for finishing top 10 as a non-exempt player - which gets you in the following week), automatically carries over to the next 'ordinary' tour event after the US Open (even if you are in the US Open via qualifying last Monday).....same should apply here IMO. But it's your tour, so your rules (even if they are wrong )

If it was automated on the site it wouldn't be an issue but it's not at this point. Thx!

Can we add a cut after two rounds? I don't like to not finish something I start but I really don't want to play two more rounds of this so a cut would really help solve my dilemma.

Course was ridiculous hitting good shots that should be within 10 feet then they roll 30 feet leaving an impossible 2 put yellow slopes 12 inches away from cups on super fast greens I understand that it has to be set up tough but it’s more pot luck where you end up, good shots punished not good

Not to mention phantom breaks all over the course on straight putts

You should have played old Hickory Hills a couple of weeks ago! No comparison. At Brookledge good shots are most definitely rewarded, if you're leaving yourself 30 feet then it wasn't a good shot! I should know, I was in the same boat many times

A good shot is a shot that lands within 10 feet and rolls towards the hole almost coming to rest a couple of feet away then catches a yellow slope a runs 30 feet away, I should know my gc2 is +29 so I hit enough of them

I tend to try and aim away from them

When the yellow slopes are 18 inches away from the pin where exactly are you supposed to aim? 20 feet away from the cup?

Last time I checked 20 feet putts were easier than 30 feet ones Course management FTW

I disagree. I felt the course is very manageable, pales in comparison to the US open qualifying course where I WD after the 2nd hole.. lol Greens were really nuts.

Doyley hate to beat a dead horse but can I get an official ruling on this one more time? The reason I ask is because you had a post on June 17th (see link below) saying a bug had been fixed and will now allow exemptions to be carried over. Doyley Post - 6/17/18
My second, and possibly more relevant question, is: If we earn an exemption AND qualify for The Open can a player compete in both tournaments like they were able to this week with regular rounds and the qualifying rounds?

If you qualify, you would play in The Open Championship (a World Tour event, played under Tour Clubs) in week 40. This would supercede your regular Tour rounds in that week (next week), and you would play in the Major if you qualify. If you fail to qualify, you would play in the event your week 39 regular tour event would allow you to play.

Ah, that's right. I actually remember seeing this explained somewhere else now that I think about it. I appreciate the quick clarification. Haha now my first question is the one that actually matters.
