I would donate, but not with paypal. Like many people in my country i don't have a debit or credit card. So i don't even think it's possible. My advise is to add easier payment methods If you have a bank account, PayPal will work. It’s not exclusively tied to bank cards. Cheers! 🍻

The only thing I would say with this (and this is coming from someone who is very happy to have been a 'sustaining member' for quite a while now) is that you might want to think about being more transparent about your accounts. Maybe publish a quarterly or an annual statement? It would help people to see what you still need, and see where their money is going. Took the words out of my mouth. Id happily set up a donation too but first i would like to know things such as, what are the current monthly running costs for this place, how many would need to donate how much to cover those costs, or at least most of it etc. If this info is forthcoming then consider me in.

I think another huge problem here is that so few of the players on tour actively use the forum and probably won't see this plea. Anyway to send out a mass email to the one they have on file? Might be a little "in your face" but youll probably reach a larger audience.

I’m in for $10 a month. Should’ve done this a while ago. What we all get from this experience is certainly more than a single cheap lunch per month. It’s hard to believe it has sustained itself this long on such an informal monetary basis. Tim, Scott, and Jeff — thanks for creating the single best gaming experience of my lifetime, and I’m a guy who has been gaming since Pong in the ‘70s.
More than happy to help. 😀

For those of you that need an audit trail of where the money is going - I can promise you this - we are not taking any of this money for personal gain. Everything we receive will go back into this site in some capacity. I'm simply asking people to donate b/c you enjoy the enjoy the experience and want to give a buck or two to help out with the cost, labor, and development that it takes to run.
If you need a full financial statement to justify a $1 donation, then simply don't donate. No one is forcing you to.
Thanks!

Might be a little "in your face" but youll probably reach a larger audience. We are going to post a "support the site" section on the main page of the site soon and a bar chart to show our current goal and where we stand. Thanks!

I dont need an audit trail Tim, im happy to donate and will set one up soon. That said when you are asking people to donate i dont think its too much to ask to provide a rough idea of the actual costings involved. If you feel thats some sort of top secret info only you are allowed to know, thats fair enough, but i feel mine and others asking about it isnt unreasonable if we are going to give money. Please dont take offence where none is intended - im more than willing to help, in fact i should have done it before now, had a mind to, just never got round to it.

Ken,
I’m not offended sorry my post came off that way. That was not my intent. All donations received will be use to better the experience for all.
I would rather people donate because they simply enjoy their experience on our site and want to support it. Hope this clears up the intent of my reply.
Thanks!

I don't mind donating a few dollars every now and then when I have some spare. This is and has been a great place to be a part of for the last few years, I'd hate to see it not be able to function because of costs.
As I don't have a fixed income at the moment, I won't be setting up a monthly recurring donation though.

I didn't mean to open a can of worms here, sorry, and as you probably know I've been one of the 1% since your last plea for donations and am more than happy to be so. What you guys do for us is nothing short of amazing, as others have said it's the best gaming site I've ever had the pleasure of being a part of. But if you're asking people for money it's never a bad thing to be transparent about what you're asking for. Not a detailed statement (I didn't mean that) but along the lines of: We have x amount coming in Monthly running costs are x amount We would like x amount to pay for a developer We need x amount for 'insert here' It doesn't really matter the size of an individual donation, but the potential sum of all donations could be quite a large amount (hopefully!) and for your own protection as much as anything else it would be a good thing to see how it is spent. I don't think anyone is doubting your motives or intent, I certainly don't or I wouldn't already have a monthly donation set up. As Matt said, please don't take offence where none is meant. You might find you get more donations by providing more information, after all it clearly didn't work that well the last time. 1% is shocking, there are at least 7-800 people who have been using this free service for more than a year!

I have set up my recurring monthly donation. I want to thank all of the people involved in making this my go to source for entertainment and appreciate all that you guys do. I have always donated in the past but in sporadic chunks. I hope that the per month donations will make it easier on you guys. Keep up the great work and thank you again.

Here's a few details of our most recent financial statement and costs incurred: (in US $) Banhammers (gold plated, large head) - $87.49 each Rental of Exile Island for naughty members - $2.6 million per month Water bottles to hold tears of players who complain about courses each week - $12.50 each "We hate the Irish" T-shirts - $16.95 each Our Ferrero Rocher sponsorship pays for most of this, so I figure we need a few hundred per month to keep the site running?
