MLB the Show baseball game is my favorite. I start a season when the game comes out and play the games according to the schedule. I never finish a season but enjoy it anyway. The course designer in TGC makes me wish that the Show had a create a stadium feature. I would attempt to create some old stadiums such as Tiger Stadium or the old Brooklyn Dodger stadium ( the name escapes me )

Since we are all virtual golfers, I'm assuming some of us are general sports games fans as well. For PS4 folks there is a game called Super Mega Baseball that I have been playing the heck out of. If you know Operationsports.com, it's a pretty hardcore community of sports game fanatics. They named it their sports game of the year. It's one of the reasons I opted for a PS4, as ridiculous as that sounds. I'm as desperate as anyone for a return to unlicensed, cool baseball games, so I was delighted when I found out about it. Sadly, I haven't had a ton of time to play it. I've only played a handful of games, and had no time to customize a team. Gameplay is the name of the game, and it really seems to have it. If I'm honest, though, I hate those player visuals. The screen is super cluttered, too. I had hoped it would grab me as Power Pros did when it was available for the Wii for a couple of years, but it hasn't yet. I hope it has success in sales as much as it has in critical reception, though. Maybe it will open the doors for other developers to try out unlicensed sports games.

I agree, I wish it looked a bit less Wii-game like. But, it has grown on me. And the baseball gameplay is just really good. Perfect pace too. It would make the perfect PS+ free monthly game and likely get a lot of people hooked on it.

I'm not even opposed to cutesy graphics. After all, I loved power pros. It's just something about those ugly looking faces and weirdly proportioned bodies.... Don't love the bats either.
Still. I gotta get some more time in with this game. What ego level do you use?

I'm playing at 50 right now, a couple of games into my second (short) season. I started at whatever the default ego was (15-20?) and after I started to get the hang of it, began bumping it up by about 5 per game until the games started getting really close and I started losing some. I could probably go up another 10 or so and still be competitive. Beyond that, I would have to get a bit better at the game (tend to be impatient at the plate). How about you?

I've only played at whatever the default level is so far and wasn't even winning those games. I'm making contact pretty well, but not getting a ton of hits yet. Not stringing them together, anyway.

Most recent games were:
The Long Dark Bought dishonoured but haven't played it yet. Skyrim The Walking Dead series. Dead Island series State of Decay Fallout 3 and New Vegas Red Dead Redemption
I may have a slight fascination for zombies.

Did you check out the DLC for Red Dead Redemption that basically made it Zombie mode? Undead Nightmare I think it was called? It was quite fun. (I really enjoyed Red Dead btw) And if you like zombies, you have to find some way, some how to play The Last of Us. (but it look like you are a PC gamer going from your games list. Would need a ps3 or ps4 for TLOU)
I too have a bit of a zombie fascination (big fan of The Walking Dead tv show). Was thinking the other day that around Halloween it would be fun if instead of random wildlife place in courses in The Golf Club, course designers could put walking shuffling zombies.
Because in the zombie apocalypse, I don't think I would have any trouble getting a tee time!

When it comes to games, I don't play anything else online but TGC, but some friends have gotten me hooked on a card game called... "Cards Against Humanity"

Cards against Humanity is bizzare (good bizzare) in the right crowd.. Basically Apples to Apples for when the kids are not around.

And now with being able to save current game to next game the following year it's even better.

I'm hardcore or old school, not sure which best suits this: I only have one game in my rotation at a time. Seldomly do I have a second, never a third, just to pass some time when competition is away. I'm similar in away. I never have 2 non sports games at a time. Usually it'd be a sports game, TGC at the moment, with one non sports game. Breaks it up a little bit.

The course designer in TGC makes me wish that the Show had a create a stadium feature. I have literally been wishing for this since I was a kid playing NES baseball games. It must be crazy impossible to do, even in a simple way, or some game would have had one by now, right?
