Back on the Basterd bandwagon after a busy few weeks and had probably one of my best rounds ever so very good to be back!! Highlight of Round 2 was this 194 yard eagle..... And I find myself unbelievably, for the first time ever except when I've been the first to venture out on the course, top of the leaderboard. Some big guns will soon come and bash me off but nice while it lasts!! Lovely course, really enjoyed it.

Interesting decision you made regarding next season (or next game, that is). Is it in any way meant to remove a few of the more obvious cheaters?

The way the game is now I am unable accuse anybody of taking advantage I do not like to use the word cheat. So in a sense yes this should hopefully guarantee those competing should be within the API guidelines. This is a wait-and-see decision until we understand how exactly this game is going to play but rather than having to remove people from the society, it's easier to just allow those from TGC tours and a few others that I know we're not cheating and I can always open to society the public anytime.

I know you try to be as diplomatic as possible ... it's a good trait for anyone assuming an "admin" role of any kind I know I've been biting my tongue a lot over the past couple of months. I don't mind calling it what it is - because it all boils down to the same thing ... someone winning that doesn't deserve it. I've been very sad lately at the number of "those people" that have infested IB (which has always been my favorite society, by the way). I'm pretty sure B.Smooth13 Justin feels the same way. Regardless, I feel your pain ... I don't want to call someone a cheater outright without some way to prove it - even though I'm 100% certain about several people. If you're good enough at any game (and play fairly), it gets pretty easy to spot the people that are using some sort of exploit. It hasn't just been the "new" members that have been doing it either ... there are several long-time members that have suddenly starting shooting considerably lower than they have for the past year. I think some people just decided they have nothing to lose at this point since a new game is coming out. I think the best case scenario (aside from the game having built-in protections - which is highly unlikely), is if the new game actually allows us to see the swing line of "ghosts" (as well as live matchmaking). Then we could police things ourselves rather than having to rely on TGCTours as a guide ... because, you'll still have situations where someone is still an active member here on TGCT even though they've failed the API several times. Don't get me wrong ... I'm happy to see this change ... and I'm happy to see you proactively doing what you can to ensure the credibility of IB. So, thank you very much for making an effort

So, thank you very much for making an effort Yes Justin and I have discussed this, and trust me I see those who are questionable. This certainly is going to be trial by error and piss off some people, I really hope in the new game we can see swing line as we did in the previous game, it made my life easier! Let's just see how this works out and hopefully we can get a fair group together to really compete. And I truly appreciate your feedback here !

Indeed it's a very good idea and we'll have to test it and see how it goes, we have some players that's been with us a long time that are not on the tour but we know they play fair/clean and they will of course be allowed to join/play.

I also welcome this new decision to make one of the best society's on here even better.
I've always felt that this society leans towards that decision anyway, hence now and again I've posted on the chat to a new player who wins they ought to check out tgctours.com.
Whereas I'm of the opinion that if you've paid for the game, you can play it how you want to,there are plenty of society's out there that allow this, many of which I'm a member of, but at least I now what im playing against.

I was recently accused of cheating and asked why I didn't play in those "other" societies ... Ok, so let me get this straight ... in order to prove I'm not cheating, I have to a) Go to a site that has no cheat protection; b) is run by KNOWN cheaters that have been perma-banned from TGCTours; and, c) play with a leaderboard full of people that failed the API here ... ya, that math adds up!

Why did you get accused of cheating, did you fail the api? I don't understand, why would you go to these societies to prove you're not cheating....you play on tgctours regular so I cant see why you've a problem.

Well, it seems I.B inspires me : now, my most ignominious eagle ever !
After a very slow drive into the gorse, I had a lucky decent lie and tried to go for the green with a 4 iron. Damn! a very (very) slow again and it ended like that :
Boooooooooooooo !
