Was trying to add the badge but after the paste not the whole copy goes in there. I thought there wasn't a limit to this space, is there? The code works fine try again, here it is just be sure the code starts from the img and ends with the img and all your brackets are in place some times when copying over a bracket might get dropped .. There's a 500 space limit to signatures - so the links take up a lot of that very quickly.....you've therefore probably gone over that limit Art.

I am seeing a lot of questions regarding our newest player Arland from Sweden. I understand why, new person, shoots lights out in the first game and continues down that path. Reminds me of when unclevirt arrived on the scene and the same questions circulated. We are not privy to API in society so we have no idea how people shoot. Let's hope he joins the tours and from there we can make an assessment of his skills. Some are born winners and some are born to lose (me !). So let us give him the benefit of the doubt for the time being- Carol

I love competition and having someone like him would only make that and the society better overall! I would just like to know how he is better than the PGA players when he has only played 71 rounds in the game =P I need the secrets

Hi Carol inflames47, First off, I just wanted to say how much I enjoy this society and the warm welcome to PC so far since the switch from xbox. Glad to see you addressed the Arland situation. I've been doing a little digging into his rounds and stats on stream and he's certainly very questionable. unclevirt and I looked at his ghosts for his recent wins in the society and he was able to play every wind and elevation (this was the round with 13+ mph winds) absolutely perfectly. By perfectly, I mean his approach shots were inches from going in on every single hole. Even the very best in this game don't consistently do that for every approach shot in a round with high winds. Obviously, everyone is capable of having a round for the ages, it's not unheard of, but he's done this in the last 4 rounds he's played in this society. Some of the other stats that make this so questionable are that he only has 71 rounds played (again, already playing better than the very best in this game with uncomparable accuracy with his approach shots) and even after his stellar 4 rounds in the society tournaments, he is only a +21 handicap. Someone with this kind of skill would easily be around a +35 handicap. Lastly, we looked at the scores of his last 20 rounds and saw that on the same day and the same course he shot 74 and 58. Again everyone has their ups and downs, but someone with this kind of talent would almost never break 70, but yet he has 2 rounds above 70 mixed in with a 49 (I've never had a 49 and I've played this game for over 300 hours). It seems like these rounds would be when he's not using his script. unclevirt said he ghosted his 74 round and he was playing absolutely horrid (a complete 180 from every shot almost going in the hole and this is on the same day). So, of course, we can't prove anything, but it certainly leads me to believe he's using some sort of script that tells him exactly where to place his aiming marker and loft box (based on the wind, elevation, green slope, etc.) and then just swinging with his pro clubs. Sorry for the lengthy post, but I just wanted to bring all of this to your attention and hopefully going forward we find out that maybe he is just that good. Being able to come out of nowhere and beat unclevirt and me by around 5 shots in back to back society tournaments is certainly very impressive. Be interested to see what he does in the next one.

Being able to come out of nowhere and beat unclevirt and me by around 5 shots in back to back society tournaments is certainly very impressive. Be interested to see what he does in the next one. First off I am totally thrilled to have you join our society, we have some of the very best players here, including unclevirt , B.Smooth13 deathstar Brighttail rob4590 Theopen Palo vixenvikki dave69 @kimlatjo (not sure if correct) and @av.fc (once again not sure of tag here ) and beyond, tough to list them all and some are not here in forums. I am so happy that you and unclevirt are watching my back here, and so very glad you posted. I totally understand the concerns, and also I am seeing a person trying to respond to all inquiries. So , what I am to do? I know the mouse he is using, I will purchase this weekend and give it a go ( former mouse player here ) . The mouse he is using has no deadzone, and only 2 settings on dpi (1000-1600) with no changing x and y axis and only sold in the EU. Let's check this out since the mouse is available for me locally. I will stream it and see how this mouse is reacting. No one can be that good constantly here in game That is something I agree on, so let us just try to figure this out for his sake, he is new to game, unfamiliar with tours and API and blah blah stuff. Perhaps we can all get him on the correct path to compete in tours. My only suggestion to him would be to play the qualifying rounds on the tours, regardless of whether he wishes to play tours or not, and see if he passes it. Any more suggestions are totally welcomed from me. Cheers!

Good for you, it’s also great to have you as a member of the Dirtbags.

So today I bought the exact mouse that Arland is using. Also you will see me test the mouse in game training mode, using both dpi settings and also play 9 holes. This is done completely freehand and no aids whatsoever. I feel this clears him from any concerns brought up by some. I was able to hit some really good tempo and a few straight shots, but mostly there was plenty of deviation on varying shots. Also to mention almost impossible to straight edge mouse due to its ergonomic style. He has also accepted my invite in steam friends and is clearly from Sweden, and not easybirdie as someone thought it reminded him of. So I think this lad is cleared for the IB society and I suggested TCG tours and that is up to him.

Sounds good inflames47 Thanks for looking into this fairly and going way out of your way to do so. Good luck to him in the society.
