I like the fact that the tournament schedule is more condensed here. As someone who can easily blow through a dozen rounds a day, it's nice that I don't have to wait too long for my next "fix". Kinda wish it was 3 or 4 rounds over 2 days, but I understand most people have busier lives than I do The competition is pretty stiff, too ... lots of great players here! It is nice to have you join us Theopen and congrats on top place in the last tourney. I do not normally run 2 day + 4 round tournaments, as you say others have busier lives so I try to give everyone a chance to complete rounds, but then again you also have players who don't score well and drop out, but that is just the way it is and I admire those who stick out the rounds regardless of the scores. We do have some heavy competition here and sometimes you might see the same player win a few in a row, then boom! We get some one like you that drops in and takes the glory!

Thanks very much for using my pet project course to kick off the new season, Carol. It's definitely not one of the fancier design efforts I've done, was really just something I wanted to do for fun as it's an RCR layout of a local Muni (with bunkering added, and a few par3's slightly lengthened). Anyhow, hope everyone enjoys, should be a pretty straightforward one to get the new season started!

I am however doing a designer double shot week or more so the next course up is another one of your designs. Gale Harbor looks to be a bit more intimidating than the last and as expected congrats on the win@ Volunteer. deathstar missed his eagle putt to tie you ! Many thanks for playing Justin.

Yes, Gale will be a bit different of a challenge FYI don’t bump the greens up to “fast” (163) just to be safe. Default is 152, and a round of medium (144) would probably be best for the crowd since those greens are quite slopey. Oh! And if you don’t mind, set the fairways to firm or very firm. They were supposed to be very firm but the dumb highlands glitch makes them soft no matter what. Thanks!

Just a little run down on what's up in our Society. Also to bump up this thread Currently our Bank in Society has reached the 1 million mark which is totally fantastic, and just means we have some dedicated players here. We are averaging between 40-60 players per tournament. and the competition is tough with some of the best players from all tiers in TGC tours, ranging from PGA right down to CC F. I have changed the percentage of what goes to the purse and bank from 50%/50% to 90-100%/10-0% plus I have always given 10,000 bonus money to be added to the pot, which is giving players more bang for their buck. (after the 10 percent deductions to HB on each and every transaction I make, and you make in society. (That includes after giving our 10 percent, taking another 10 percent out of you winnings) They are worse than a loan shark!! I hope everyone is enjoying playing here and suggestions are always welcome. I try to bring you the best designs out there, but on occasion I can pick a doozy! Our membership has grown and we continue to get new faces/players here daily. We are the top society for PC players other than HB and TGC tour Societies and I just wanted to say thanks for joining us and welcome to our society. We are family here and treat all players with respect. Feel free to way in by using the social tab, but always keep it civil as we do not want to offend other players. Many Thanks Inflames47/Carol

The leader board is already heating up at Kill Devil Hills by Terry Grayson. After a Fantastic turnout (52/83 players finished both rounds) The purse grew to over 36,000 with some fantastic scores had by all. Next up after Kill Devil Hills is a course by Palo. He has been dormant in design for a while and nice to see him back in action. I am sure all will enjoy his design Stag Point G C. Hope to see you on the links!
