This has been an issue for me since TGC 2 launched. When I try to place flying birds in the game they are stuck to the ground and remain so. There is no Q menu for the flying birds so no way to adjust height. When I go into play test mode they disappear altogether.
With Blimps and balloons they appear in the air initially but then stick to the ground when placed. Then in play test mode the shadow appears on the ground but the Blimps and balloons are missing.
I'm on PC and use keyboard and mouse. ( Have tried a controller but no other options or differences )
Have seen these objects on other peoples courses working correctly, so is it just a PC problem or am I just not doing something properly ?

Flying objects are placed on the ground in the designer to make them easier to select in case you want to move or delete them. When you play the game, they are airborne.

Hi Erixon thanks for your reply. I did think maybe that was the case, actually think I may have asked the question before but forgotten about it. Problem is though in TGC 2 the height of the flying birds seems fixed, probably in relation to the water table for the course. I'm currently working on a headland course where all holes are significantly above that level. Wherever I place the birds either on top of the headland or below they always appear flying lower down below cliff height, so are never visible. In TGC 1 they seemed to be at a fixed height above what ever point you placed them at. You could place them at a lower point to make them fly low over a higher point. For me the best solution would have been to allow us to place them at whatever height we want and just freeze them there till you enter play mode. That way still quite easy to find for editing and you have control of the height placement.

I have never done this...but I had heard if you use the red sculpting brush to raise the base terrain where the object is, your planes etc will be higher...and vice versa for lowering.

Had a go at the red brush thing, can't make it work for me though. Thanks for your reply anyway.
