I've gotten off to a decent start on this design, so I've got a few teaser photos to show. Fun fact, Belize currently has no 18-hole golf courses! So, mine would automatically be the best in the country.

Was in Belize a couple years ago and there is a course there...though it's gone through phases of being open (And I would have had to charter a boat or flight 😁). Check out the video...so sweet... cayechapel.com/Lots of better pics on Google too. Beautiful country.

Just like Israel that I have, Belize is mostly below sea level. Need to build above-ground graves around the course

Looking at more pictures, it's looking like I might be taking a little bit of a liberty with the terrain. Everything I see is very, very flat. Not sure I really want to start over though. Surely there's SOME part of Belize that has little foothills.

Have a good friend that went to Belize a number of years ago when we were younger - he wouldn't shut up about the place. Sounds like a beautiful area, hope to actually go there some day.

Annnnnnnnd I've started over. I have about 2-3 holes done, and I think this plot is going to work better than the first.

Updated OP with photo of the plot I'm actually going with. I feel like I was going to too many different directions with the first one, and have sort of copied over the elements I like onto the second plot. The holes from the first one I liked weren't any of the oceanside holes, and would work in a mountainous, jungle course. So, I think I'll set those aside and go in a different direction with those later. Also, I seem to have accidentally made the first two holes from Ember Ridge all over again. Promise it gets different from there.

Couple of drama shots of the course as is sits now. What's this? A Mattf course that shows off some great sculpting with perfect lighting? Yawn. You need to get out of your comfort zone and do something terrible.

You need to get out of your comfort zone and do something terrible. I do like my bumpy, open courses. And then you HAVE to show those off with low lighting, makes the landscape dramatic. And when you're taking drama shots, you might as well just point the camera at the sun and get that lighting. Looking at Kiawah Island as an inspiration, so I'll be attempting a little retaining wall work. So that could be terrible.

I've done about eight or nine holes, here's another little sneak peak. I believe this is my first course with any sort of retaining wall in TGC2.

Done with about 14-15 holes, though I might go back and redo some. Here's a screenshot of the par 3 14th.
