Not my course, not my rounds, not my wind Played all 4 rounds with winds up to 17-18 mph in my face Managed first round only par, second round with 4 under. The rest is not interesting anymore, because with this result I will miss this time the cut. Hopefully next time the wind is on my side Some people wait for the wind to die down, this tip was given to me earlier here on this site. I too had a terrible round last week with gale force winds.

I handle this issue the same way. Play as it comes. This time I had luck and the wind was very calm for me. Put up a -32 for the whole tournament. For my first entrance, I think this result is very nice

Those that wait for the wind to die down are worse than those that chip on the greens. And there is too much of both going on ....

After playing a scorching practice round I hit the tournament running. First round had my putter cool off a bit and a fortunate double bogey put me in the clubhouse with a respectable 65. The double coming on my most hated hole on the course #13. All my round were played in 5-12 mph winds making that hole a super challenging par. I had to play backwards out of the huge gully below the hole, very fortunate to get back to the fairway in one.
My second round started with several pars and then started smoking again with 3 eagles carding a 61. I went right into the 3rd feeling unstoppable and you know what happens with that mindset.......a no bogey 68 with so so many missed birdies.
Feeling like I gave away a top 5 finish I started final round. After a slow start I regained my focus and rolled to an uplifting 61 to finish -37. Hopefully enough for top 10-20
I enjoyed this tournament and the slightly more difficult course. Thanks again to everyone involved in putting this site and tour together. Good luck to my fellow competitors.

Rookie (and only Norwegian) on the web.com checking in. Got a PS4 and The Golf Club 14 days ago, and have to say this is the golf game I've been waiting for. Been playing golf leisurely since 2009 (17 hcp IRL), and been through TW 09-13 on PS3 in the same time, but gave up on EA in the last versions. This is more my kind of game. Probably got in around 50 rounds in TGC up until now, so still feel like a newbie. Struggled a bit getting used to the controls for the first week, so entered q-school a bit early. Still pleased with posting +17 over the six rounds. This week I'm slowly getting to grips with the game. Managed to set a personal best 58 in one of the LGGT rounds at Symphony Manor during the weekend, so I know I can score low. Double digits sidewinds and sidesloped greens are still a bit of a hassle (play with a natural draw on the PS4 controller, so very often end up on the left of the flag), and I never felt comfortable on the greens at Briar Hill. Missed a lot of very good birdie opportunities on the first two rounds, even managed to overhit at least 4 tap-ins. Think 69 and 66 should be enough to make the cut. Was more happy with two 64's yesterday, but even there I left several shots on the greens. At least I've stopped missing tap-ins Hoping for a top-40 this week. Onwards and upwards.

1st round = 64 2nd round = 64 3rd round, 17 mph winds = 70
The wind conditions really hit me hard on a few approach shots. Luckily, my putting saved a bunch of pars.

I did not quit, restart or wait around for the winds to die out. I am lucky if I post a score under par. I know there is no way to stop this ATM .. but there is a way to make the time to post a round a lot tighter, and only allow one round per day or even One round per every 48 hours. Something needs to be done to address this and make it a more even playing field.

By this I mean, I could play all four rounds in one sitting and simply post my scores every 24 hours. I know someone could monitor the in game score board but that seems like an arduous task. Additionally, I play all four of my rounds at once (sometimes it works in my favour if the winds are good, sometimes it doesn't) by my "real life" schedule provides me with a very very brief schedule in which to sit and play so I take advantage of that when I can. If there were more restrictions on when I could play, I would most likely (regrettably) have to not play.

I'm one of those that finished all four rounds. There are definitely opportunities to score here, but your mistakes will cost you more. Let me just say this...do NOT come up short on #13. My approach came up a tad short and hit the bank in front of the green. It rolled down into the abyss and, 9 shots later, I carded an 11. I was at -7 up to that point and teed of at 14 at even par! It was my fault for sure, but I am hoping that OB or an unplayable lie mechanic is introduced soon. Needless to say, I have no chance at winning this tournament and will be lucky to place top 20. Yep same happened to me. Couldnt get out of it and had to wait for shots on hole to exceed limit. Think I was -7 at the time too lol.

Catcherer (-38) really played lights out this week out at Shivering Pines. I was honestly not a fan of course after my practice rounds, and it showed as i consistently missed putts out on that golf course. EVERY hole was tilted and had a break going into it, which to me is absolutely terrible course design, and I just couldn't sink any long putts out there. The wind was at a constant 10mph so that wasn't really a factor, but there was a lot of missed opportunities to be had out at Shivering Pines. I bet this course will give some people trouble this week and m expecting lower score totals which my help me out on Sunday.
Round 1: 63 (-8) Round 2: 62 (-9) Round 3: 65 (-6) Round 4: 64 (-7)
Total: 254 (-30)
