IMPORTANT UPDATE: XB1 Users For Week 3 we had an error creating your tournaments in game.
Correct in-game names (I'm trying to remove the faulty one) tgctours.com - Euro - W03 (R1/R2) tgctours.com - Euro - W03 (R5/R6) *** please ignore (R3/R4) Those that play R3/R4 will be emailed to play R5/R6 version
We are going to test out multiple pins at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters (W03) on the European Tour.
Naming convention in-game: tgctours.com - Euro - W03 (R1/R2) tgctours.com - Euro - W03 (R3/R4)
Note that both will still be found in the Tournament section of The Golf Club. I hope it goes without saying, but play R1/R2 as your first two rounds and R3/R4 as your last two.
The first two rounds will be played at Powderfinger G.C.. The final two rounds will be at Powderfinger G.C. (Tournament Pin A)
Changes to the Tournament Pin A version - different pin locations - tees moved back to the black tees - heavy rough line follows the fairway edge - green speeds have been increased from med-fast to fast
Hope you guys enjoy the change of pins. If this is a success we'll look to do this on all tours sporadically to keep the 4 rounds fresh.

Very cool. Looking forward to this. Glad I switched over to Euro this week. Wasn't feeling Tomahawk and figured it would be a good chance branch out.

This is great news!.. I'm sure it's gonna work out great.. Just another excellent touch up to add a bit more realism

my suggestion is that no increases to green speed or firmness should be made as no green or fairway would change that dramatically overnight (barring rain, but that would soften and slow the course)... quite unrealistic... otherwise great news

But we'll definitely try to avoid it when possible.

Just played the new Tournament Pin A version, a few tougher pin locations at the front of greens and a little bit more slope on some holes around/near the cup. Was the 3rd person on PS4 to give it a try, shot -4 going for the pins in 5mph winds. Should make for an interesting final 2 rounds.
You don't want to be pin high left of the flag on the par 3 16th or you'll have to play through alot of red/yellow slope from the back bank. I managed to lag my 30 foot birdie putt to 6 or so feet under the hole for a straight up hill par putt, that hole could decide the Tournament if your putting isn't on form in the final round.

Just tested it out aswel.. alot of tricky pins. My practice around the origional iv shot between -10/-13 and i only managed -5 on this one! wouldve been very interesting if these pinplacements were used 1st 2 rounds! Greens are abit quick.but overall some nice tricky pins. Gna be an interesting weekend! just hope i can get there and earn my euro tour card ?

Hi guys, not complaining cause it's all a different challenge and I like the idea of changing the pin location but my slight issue is in this situation not only the pins are changing but the green speed and the tee location. I also think it's a little bit of a shame that it was announced just before the start of the tournament which doesn't give much time to get used to the new locations. Thanks as always

Just to clarify, it's only the XBOne players that have to choose R5/R6 instead of R3/R4? PC and PS4 Players to still choose R3/R4 for third and fourth rounds?

Stupid question but is the Qatar Masters not actually classed as a masters?

Just done a round on the new course. It's much trickier than the original I got a -8 practice compared to -16 in practice on the other but it's not a different course in anyway. I think I might prefer it to the original. It'll certainly cause some moments on the final round. The 7th for example is a bit of a worry but all in all its not a dramatic change from the original just more challenging which for the last 2 rounds is fair enough thanks guys
