The RRCC Tour (Reviewer Recommended Challenge Cup) is back!
For those of you that are totally new to this Society event, I wanna quickly tell you what this side tour is generally all about:
"This tour is trying to help promote underutilized courses, both new and old. These are of course different than the regular weekly events. I've found that we have so many courses in the listings, and as fan of everybody's work, this was the best idea I could think of to generate some traffic for them."
This is a quote from jamesearl13 , who initially created this tour long time ago. When he was running out of free time, I took over his project because I thought it was not only a nice idea, but also a lot of fun to play some really outstanding, beautiful and/or unique courses without any pressure and more for the fun part of The Golf Club!
So this is how we started, and over the past 2 years or so this Tour has become one of the most popular Community Events here at TGCTours! Unfortunately, with the release of TGC2 and the implemented limitations to Societies (compared to the Tours/Tournament setups we had in TGC1) I lost the interest to keep this going! But Giraffe72 has persuaded me over time that we should make this happen again and that we will find a way to do it.
And here we are now, almost ready to go!
HERE IS HOW IT WORKS:
- Each week I will select 3 different courses, each one of them just played for one round.
- There are going to be 3 different Societies on each platform, named as follows:
- RRCC Tour - Course #1
- RRCC Tour - Course #2
- RRCC Tour - Course #3
- You can enter a Society, play your round(s) & quit if you don't have enough Society slots available. Your scores will still count. Of course you can also become a Member of them all at the same time! All 3 society tournaments (Course #1, #2 and #3) are published on Thursday (time will depend on your time zone I guess). From that moment you have 1 week to complete those 3 events. In any order you wish... doesn't matter if you start with #2, go to #1 after that and finish with #3 (or any other possible order).
- All Societies will have no entry fee of course!
- The actual events will have a very small entry fee. This is not for our own profit (as there will be no purse or so), just because we raise some funds to level up the Society to the maximum amount. As soon as we've reached that, all events will be free to play as well.
- Basically you just have to play your rounds! That's it! We will collect your scores from the ingame leaderboard once the event has closed.

NO CLUB LIMITATION!
Use whatever club set you wish to use!
ATTENTION: ONE TIME REGISTRATION
Before you play any of the tournaments,
please make sure you've registered in this thread.
Just once, that's it for all times.

Events will always start on Thursday and run for exactly 1 week. This has changed compared to what we had in TGC1 (where an event was running for almost 3 weeks, and where we had 3 events going at the very same time at a certain point of the week), but unfortunately there is no other way to do it. Sorry for that, but don't blame us, but HB Studios!
With the help of my "Scoring Team" we are trying to keep actual standings and leaderboards updated as good as we can! While the main focus of this tour will always be the fun part, at least a bit of "competition" is nice to have and will hopefully encourage more people to participate (on a regular basis)! To make it even more interesting for those that do not find the time to participate over the whole season, we will (again) play "series" of 4 weeks (eg. Week 1-4, Week 5-8, etc.) before the actual leaderboard is reset and we start a new one! Of course there is going to be a final leaderboard for the whole season at the end of the year. If you wonder how points are distributed, here is how we are going to do it for this season:.
POINT DISTRIBUTION:
To make sure things go down to the wire, we are playing for Double Points in the final week of a series (so that would be Week 4 for the first series; Week 8 in the second, and so on).
ATTENTION: Scores will only count if you finish all of the 3 rounds. We won't be collecting any scores for those who only play 1 or 2 rounds, or finish anywhere in between!

The main goal here is to help call attention to some of the fine design work on courses that never really got their moment in the sun. Please help spread the word amongst your playing circles. This tour is NOT related to TGCTours in any way, and will have no bearing on your rankings or tour status.
I hope for lots of participation, and I really hope it's going to be as successful as it was in the past!
GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY!
