Assuming the top image and the bottom image are the same hole but in different themes, I do love how it looks in the Autumn theme. Maybe keep that one tucked away for the future and start something really experimental for the Swiss entry in the contest?
I feel like in a Swiss theme for a fantasy contest, you could really stretch yourself with elevation changes, and incorporate rocks in a neat way considering the background also features mountains and rocks. Possibly even something crazy like a snowy texture for the deep rough? Let your imagination run wild, because I know with you the course design will be solid. Go big or go home! ;-)

Update time! I've goofed around a bit, and came up with a general idea of the landscape I want to build my course on. Have a rough first hole I think. Current working name is "The Winterstone."   |

Hope I don’t get a Perfect/Fast on that one. Haha So far, many many balls have been lost in the name of playtesting. Hoping it doesn't end up too hard, I want a few cliff-side holes but I don't think they'll all be this dramatic (or punishing). |

Figured I'd throw in a quick update. The front 9 is finished, minus planting/visual work. Back 9 is routed, though I might need to rework a few of them.   |

Update time! I've switched the nines, so the holes I've been showing are now on the back 9. The plot is a little flatter on the other 9, and I didn't want to end the course with the more standard holes. As far as fantasy courses go it's pretty tame, but all of the wilder elements I've played with strike me as being too gimmicky and distracting. That being said, this course has more elevation change than anything I've made before, with several holes in the 100 ft+ range. I think they're all still very playable though, which has been an interesting balancing act. Lighting has changed as well, I think I want to go for a cloudy, misty look.

As of this weekend, all the holes are down, just need to go through polishing and planting passes, and it should be good to go. Also, finally settled on some lighting. It's not ideal, but it's good enough, and I can't take anymore fiddling.
