I tell ya this game is nuts. I just played a society tourney that uses your hdp. Last I looked I was hovering around +4 +5. I finished like 4 under and with adj like 1 under. At that moment I get a 10 trophy for having a hdp of 10 or more, which I'm sure a lot of you have earned. Well I sure didn't and here's the real kicker,my hdp shot up to a +26! So that kinda screws me on the hdp tourneys lol. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes, my HDCP shot to +18. I think HB did something with the way they handle course and slope ratings.
I don't play handicapped events, so to me HDCP is a nonsense number.

Handicapping in TGC2, as was in TGC1 is a bit of a farce really. I love to practice, but I need a reason to practise. So the Career mode is great for this purpose. Unfortunately, I found my handicap rising pretty quickly, even though I didn't think I was playing that well. I received my +10 trophy, then started to see my handicap gradually drop to around +7.6. But the biggest joke with handicap events, is seeing players, playing far better than you and when you look at the scorecards there're not losing any shots throughout the entire round, while your giving away 5 or 6 shots. it's so easy to practice in this game and become a good player without even receiving a handicap.

Agree that the hdp isn't all that, but now when I went to play in society, it wouldn't let me because my hdp is too high lol. Glad to play here though since it's the only one I actually care about. I did locate the issue when I looked in hdp rating where you see your scores on each course. On the course that it happened, it shows a slope of 229.2/84, hdp diff -216.9. So yeah that might have a little something to do with it. Sent report to HB so hopefully get fixed cause now I'm near +28 .
