I have tried to hit it straight consistently, but find I am more consistent if I simply play a fade and adjust. It actually works for me (so far) and I was wondering what everyone else does.

Mine can go either way....that is my problem. Mostly draws though!

Depends on what the hole calls for.

Agreed. Totally comfortable hitting straight, or with fade, or draw, if needed. That said, I'd say I play for a straight shot (or one bent by the wind) probably 85% of the time. Sometimes, particularly if it's a narrow fairway, or there's fairway bunkers to consider, I'll call in a little draw or fade to assist.

I wish the game would account for the difference between the shots irl i.e. the fades will land softer, the draws will roll a bit more. Then it will make more sense to try and shape shots.

I am not sure, but the OP is asking what your "natural" approach is? Some players have a consistent fade or draw in the cone and they adjust for it while some try to aim directly for a straight shot and try an execute as straight as they can. Could be wrong in my interpretation, though.

As in real life golf, it would be great to eliminate one side of the fairway and know you could hit with more confidence. IRL,for me, I can hit down the left side with no fear of hooking. In the game I hit more draws, but it seems that slice shows up and costs me at least once or twice a round with a DB or even a TB. To the guys who have mastered the game much more than I have, it must be loads of fun to stare down birdie putts hole after hole. Good playing Bob B on your win.

In terms of “natural” shot, within the game, I tend to hit a very slight draw, generally still inside the cone - but toward the outer edge. IRL, I tend to do the opposite....a slight fade.

I just adjust for it and it works well for me (for now anyway ) I was curious if that was the same for others. I certainly know there are those that can shape it however they want it, by I am a mere mortal and cannot.

mine tend to go more right but that's just occasionally due to my thumb not being in the correct starting position.

If you mess with the normal swing and inverted you can basically pick which way you want to go. With normal I draw it. With inverted I tend to fade it. Not all the time but my miss on inverted is a slice which I would rather have than a hook. Most courses right is usually ok when left is trouble. Plus I fade irl so it suits my eye better.

I tend to fade most shots just a nudge, however, with this game I do not know what shot I pull out of the hat at any given time as 50% is saying 'slow-' to very 'slow downswing'.

I was thinking about changing back to inverted, I used to play that way on the first game but for some reason I selected normal on this one. If I go back to inverted I will end up fading 95% of the time so it might be ok. At the moment I’ve got used to aiming down the right and drawing it back.
