Windows 10 - creator update killing TGC

Finally installed the new Win10 "Fall creators update" and TGC game performance has fallen through the floor. Constant frame rate dips of 20fps every few seconds Have slowly worked my way through the suggestions in this thread...

... but haven't found a fix yet. Have clean re-installed drivers etc.

Anyone else having issues? Brighttail - did I see you mention you were having issues after this update - don't suppose you found a fix?

yes there is an easy fix play on ps4 u get stable 30fps and much easier 2 swing

Yes it's "stable" on PS4. Sort of 

But your point is well made @ab1980 ...I lost at least 4 hours fixing this in the end 

Turned out to be g-sync in windowed mode was causing the frame drop problems. TGC only works in windowed mode. Turning off g-sync made the game work OK - but disabling features is a "shitfix". After a frankly silly amount of tweaking and twerking - nothing google offered working - had to invoke chemical levels of disinfectant at a system level to get back to how it was. Safe mode, DDU uninstall & clean drivers + follow on clean install. For those who may experience the same...

Gotta love PC gaming! Still the upside is buttery smooth 100fps, ultra detail TGC, in ultrawide 3440x1440 resolution ....worth the pain imho!
