Just curious, why would they only include 70 people on a tour? Not all will play each week, and there would essentially be no cut then, right? And if there's no cut, then the strike & double strike system no longer works. World Tour: 50 (strike line is 25, 2x strike line at 50 when 51+ players play after the tour grows in time) PGA: 140 Euro: All the rest of current PGA/Euro players

Were there exemptions awarded for the last week of the season? I won the Web tournament but it looks like the exemption line has been placed above my name?! Same in cc-a. Would be a shame if there's no exemptions this week wigmore mick0210According to Scott last night in Shoutbox --

the split was sold on the basis if the gap from top to bottom being reduced. Really don't see that happening on the PGA - but we'll see. It's not just removing the top 50 from the PGA, its also bringing over the next top 70 (give or take) from Euro, and dropping the bottom 70 (or so) players out. Instead of having 2 tours with players ranked 1-300, you have a Tour with players ranked 1-50, another tour with players ranked 51-190, and a third tour with ranks 191-330. In theory, that should make for more competitive events, while only one event carries the prestige of winning on the "top" tour.

Really looking forward to season 4. Why?
1. Glad I don't have to ranger anymore
2. Glad I don't have to worry about the top of the tours
3. Glad I don't have to worry about making cuts anymore
4. Glad that it doesn't matter what CC level I'm at as it's all the same as far as I'm concerned
5. Glad I suck so much that I can just go out there and have fun seeing if I can hit pigeons on the fly or spectators in the crowd. I wonder if I hit any in the head if they'll keel over
Yep, season 4 is gonna be a whole lotta fun.
CC-Z or bust.
Maybe I can get a bumper sticker.

Right now one big complaint i see is how it wont be competitive, I think the top tours will be very fluid now more like CC where people are jumping up and down levels which will be annoying for a month or two but water will find its level and I think it will be competitive now and even better in a few months

ah, no exemption? bummer....thought I'd be starting next season in Euro.
side note...for the 5 official tournaments on TGC2, combined participation between PGA and Euro has been 201, 241, 243, 244, and 228. If you take 50 players from this pool for the top tier, and the next 140 best (assuming that means active...) for PGA, it looks like Euro is going to have anywhere between 30 and 50 active participants.
I realize the reshuffle states that "everyone else from PGA and Euro will fall into Euro" after the 190 for WT and PGA are filled...but it looks like that is going to include about 200 or so inactive players and only a small handful of active participants
