USA Stogner 76 +4
Sorry fellow Americans! I owe the squad and will do much better next RD. That course with wind and greens has to be at the PGA/Euro level. Miss an approach or down hill putt and u pay the price!!

Bill Allen Team USA shoots 66 (-6)
Just kept the ball in play for the most part. Good risk/reward course.

Need a pep talk, USers... my practice rounds aren't going well at all, and I'm afraid I'll single-handedly blow the first round for us. Even resorting to leaving the driver out of my bag and using the 3W off the tee. I'm rather nervous right now - any words of wisdom?

My good advice for all yet to play...I played Player clubs and several times used three wood off the tee. There were four or five fairways that were very narrow for a Player driver but opened widely for the 3W. It never hurt me and I had par or birdie each time I backed off. My usual disclaimer: Your results may vary. Good luck.

My big issue is the greens are not forgiving with either the approach or the putt. For all the movement, they are much too firm and fast.

Man it felt like I choked for team USA on this one. I fought back to even par on the last three holes thankfully though. +4 through 15 and -4 the last three. What a ride. Never had so many 3 putts. I've never had so many 4 putts 😌

My big issue is the greens are not forgiving with either the approach or the putt. For all the movement, they are much too firm and fast. I felt the same way throughout my round. There were so many 5-10 ft putts that I just couldn’t gauge the break on and ultimately ended up missing on the low side.

Played as well as I've played on this version and still managed a double on 18. But -9 overall is about all I can ask. Good luck all.

Thanks for the love, guys - I've figured out that tour clubs offer the best wedges for accurate approaches, and tee shots with the 3W can overcome many flaws. I'll get my round in today and let the chips fall where they may (hopefully into the dip)
