Jebel Ali Emirates current slope rating: 68/108
Great Tottington Golf Club current slope rating 76/150
Funny...
Shows the caliber of golfers on the tours. Being on one of the TGC tours will not help anyone's handicap..

It's not handicap rated on the PC (will be now that this event is happening) but that slope rating is comically wrong like a lot of the dumb handicap stuff that was forced into the game.
Still SMH at Jebel being chosen... don't get it.

Still SMH at Jebel being chosen... don't get it. I don't mind the handicap system at all except that there is no option to turn the display off for the scorecard. It's an honest implementation of the USGA system. Problem is that the USGA handicap system is not really made to deal with plus handicaps. But it is still a representation of relative skill. The main issue is how the slope-ratings are created. I understand that HB must calculate from posted scores, but it seems that current algorithm does not consider the level of the players producing those scores which leads to the above Jebel Ali situation. Even if it is a bit of a loop, slope ratings would be better off being calculated on handicap adjusted scores (for a 72/113 or equivalent course for first 200) than gross ones.
