How bout a course with a FLAT green or two LOL!! I have a course called Fairbanks National and hole 7 has a green that's 100% flat! Of course it was my first course and was marked as "not approved" to the database, and it hasn't been ported to TGC2, but still...

I wouldn't mind having one of my two TGC2 courses added in. Cathedral Caverns C.C and Kennamer Cove Golf Club. Then again, I'm super biased....

Gewella Golf Club 2017 is a beauty, interesting length variations and memorable holes. It is however an update on the TGC1 version so I don't know if this disqualifies it or not. Just played friendbomber's Celebration Golf Club and it's a cracker too. IMO they'd both be good for CC-Am. Being a ported course doesn't disqualify it in the least. I played all 4 pins of Gewella and have been giving it some serious thought. Pin 1 I thought played well for CCAm. Some of the other pins made me pull back a bit as there are some tough pin placements that are hard to even putt at from 4-6 ft. Have you played all 4 pins, and, if so, still think it's suitable for CCAM?

My opinion probably won't count for much, given I'm new - but seeing as I'm likely to be put in CC-D or E (based on my scores compared with others in the exhibitions) but Gewella isn't tricky even for me - I was 14 under in total there in the Web event last week. Compare that with about +6 total this week at Fox Chapel. I didn't notice any daft pins there in my 4 rounds.

To be perfectly honest, I wouldn't make too much of my suggestions, I'm not at all sure of the requirements you're looking for, although I have noted you're struggling finding usable CC-Am courses. You might need to relax the stringency of your selection processes a bit, maybe? And anyway, c*linm*fia needs the plays. . . (damn, there's no 'running away' smiley!)

The problem with Albert's (colinmafia) courses is that the greens are often perfectly flat. I do have a few of courses in the hopper where he's taken the time to add some depth to the playability, but most of his won't fly. I'm trying to avoid giving you guys what I consider to be tough greens, but no challenge in them at all does nobody any good.

Right, I've now played all four pins on Gewella, and the only hole I had a possible issue with is the first hole pin position on pin set 4 - it's at the top of a crown, although not a particularly tricky one. Everything else seemed fine to me.
Didn't score well on any of these rounds, but that was mainly down to repeated attempts at trying to miss water. Many, many attempts.

Finished up my rounds. Great pick Griff. I had a heck of a time putting on those firm greens at that speed. Where some of the pins tough? Yeah but not unplayable. I left probably 5 shots out there because I didn't hit to the right spots and have long putts on these greens. With the way they are sculpted that lead me to a few bad lags. Also missed 2 or 3 5 footers too. Finally got it going in round 4 and shot 60. Using tour clubs with me the feel goes so fast. I might try the next tourny on Pro to see if I can be more consistent. I think I went 66,67,66,60. So not too bad, should be top 25. I have a feeling if I was sticking to pros I would have easily gone -8 or more all 4 rounds.

Gewella would fit well in ccam as a major in my opinion but I'm no expert at this stuff.

You thinking of any of the Summer Showdown entries for inclusion for CC-Am, @griff? (What am I thinking? Of course you are! ) Scampi's Katokosmos Golf Club and mayday's McNaughton Golf and Tennis Club might do well. Always got arcticfury's Ocean of Memories too, if you're stuck. Been a real upturn in quality courses released this past few weeks. Good to see.
