The beads was a big part of my putting strategy in TGC1. Now, no matter what changes I make to the settings on my display (increase or decrease contrast, lowering brightness, etc.) they are not showing for me.
I have tried with 3 different displays now. 1. a 50" 1080p plasma TV that I played TGC1 with and saw the beads perfectly 2) a 34" ultrawide 1440p monitor, and 3) a 27" 1440p, GSync monitor. I play on PC that has an i7 6700 and GTX1070 GPU.
I have been all up and down the scale with both brightness and contrast to no avail. Have not really been messing with gamma, because I am not sure what to do with it. Also not sure about anti-aliasing or if any settings there would help. I think I have anti-aliasing off in the game, and on in the Nvidia control panel.
Its driving me crazy because on some putts, I am just wildly guessing now. Its costing me more than a couple strokes per round.
Any tech savvy folks here that can give me some idea of things to try, either with the game settings, display settings, or Nvidia control panel settings, I would truly appreciate it!!
Thanks.

Get you some glasses?! I feel like they are a bit harder to see now as opposed to the last game. Lighting plays a huge part in this I figure. I can't putt anyway.

Hey Dax - I already wear glasses, hearing aids, etc. I was very hard on me person as a young guy. I actually stuck my nose literally 6 inches from my 50" screen trying to see those little buggers. Mr. McGoo could have seen them if they were visible (oh yeah, you are too young to know who Mr. McGoo is) LOL.
I cannot see the beads regardless of if the in game weather is sunny or cloudy, so something is wacked with my computer settings I guess. But which one or ones...I have no idea...Where's paulus when you need him?

Yeah, the greens seem to glare (PS4) and very bright so it must be worse with top end video card! Mabey HB might have to tone it down, in-game. My putting about the same as tgc1, sucks. my chipping way worse!!

Ha! I chuckled at this! Sunny weather is no good! Way too bright. Number 4 at Magnolia really sticks in my mind. I'm not sure what to do other than wait on a patch for it? Can hardly see them even when "worm-camming".

How about sun in your face over the water. I have literally had greens that looked like you were playing in the dark when this happens. Barely even see the hole.

Sadly not sure I can help much mde8965 - this one sounds like a game bug rather than a graphics settings issue. I can see the beads regardless of anti-aliasing settings etc. Suggestions; - reset graphics settings back to defaults in both nvidia control panel & the game
- uninstall the game and re-install
Hope you get it sorted - I couldn't putt without the beads either!

Hope you get it sorted - I couldn't putt without the beads either! Thank you Paul. I will do what you suggested as far as setting everything back to defaults. I have monkeyed with so many graphics/video settings on the game and computer side it would be like trying to find a needle in the haystack...

Zoom in. Are they visible then?

One thing that has become my normal routine on the green is too look at the putt from behind the hole. Sometimes I see beads that I did not see otherwise.

Actually I feel it's better. Don't just look at the beads. Look at the lines close up. Go to the ground to the hole and zoom back at ground level. MUST better.

White on white doesn't help.

You need to fix your TV. Get it out of the factory settings.
