You can use the camera and move it around to any position you like. I always move the camera as low to the ground as I can, then check the break every yard from the hole back to my player. I copied this style from @edi_vedder after seeing him do it on twitch. And you can still do that on the putting surface with the Scout Cam (Triangle on PS4). But I'm missing that fast access (O-button on PS4) to go low behind your ball quickly like mentioned by jtcurrent too.

Just wish they left the simple stuff alone.

On Xbox, hit Y to go into scout can, then hold RB and then O (I think). Still no idea why they made it so difficult just so I can open the overhead view...

I think the greens are way faster, which is fine. In fact, it's good.
However, what will be a problem is the TGC1 > TGC2 converted courses where (quite rightly so) to add difficulty, pins were placed on the edge of steep gradients. On TGC2 there is definitely more roll out. I've had a couple of downhill putts where I've literally touched it, not holed it, its caught the slope and finished 30ft away from the hole.
There should never be a situation where you're putting from 10ft and if you miss the hole you're going to end up 30 feet past.
