Just the 10 members so far..... A little disappointing but early days I suppose.... I'm clinging to the "build it & they will come" anecdote On the plus side everyone will get a share of the purse once we get going officially Remember tomorrow (Tuesday) sees the 1st day of the test event - who's going to be top of the leader board? Simon, If I remember correctly we only had 13 active PC'ers finish the June comp. 10/13's not bad. Would it be worth sending a pm to the other 3 just alerting them? Wouldn't do any harm... you've worked out who they are? I sent all my Steam friends (who played at least one event) the link to this thread via the message system & at peak had 42 listed PC players (about a third of which are my friends on Steam). No biggie... it's only the in game leader board & once you collate all the results from all 3 platforms the "in house" leader boards will be what counts here.

Hey Sam. I will be signing up tonight I suppose. Still working through the PGA/Euro/Web and CC-Pro events for the week to get as much practice and experience on various courses. I very much enjoyed the Seniors tour in TGC1. I think a lot of people are still trying to work though the swing mechanics. Plus HB really needs to get off the 5 society limit. Cannot figure that out. I am guessing there is no word on the join/leave/re-join issue and the upfront fee. If that is going to be an issue, just a suggestion that instead of charging 250 to join, that maybe you charge 50 entry fee per tournament or something. That way the 5 society limit is not a major factor.

Your right; I've had no reply to a PM sent to 2 of the devs over at HB & it's the same story in a thread dealing with societies in general where I asked if anybody in the community knew. Apologies for the "steep(ish)" joining fee but we had to keep the riffraff at bay & the young guns who would rather tear up every cheap backstreet club, jumpin' in & out showing no loyalty whilst listening to the latest Glitch Soulazz through their 2 grand Focal Utopia bluetooth headsets. That's not what we are about & since HB bunged everyone 5k worth of coins to splash it worked out ok! In all seriousness, don't worry about event fees as you'll end up making money by finishing events with major "bonus purses" once we get established & don't forget you earn extra "ding" by completing course challenges which increase in number the more plays a course gets. If your worried about funds you can always get your single player career mode up & running - there's lots of coins to be won doing that. To put things in perspective it won't be too long before we're all paying between 750 & 1,000 HBucks to play events & battling for a big juicy payday. Hope to see you out on the home course Tueday, Wednesday or Thursday playing the test event.

Just wanting to make sure this does not turn into a "Candy Crush" sort o game with having to buy Bucks for the bargain price of $$$$ for $$$ to keep playing LOL... Okay, I'm over being an HBucks miser. Will join tonight for sure.
As for single player career mode. Have not been able to figure out how that works yet. Clicked on it, but then did not understand what to do next.

On career mode just pick a golf course you can even rename your opponents as I am renaming my opponents with PGA names. By the way there are 200 opponents.

Thanks cappy. I did not realize you had to pick your courses. I will try again later today.

HB have assured us there will be no "micro transactions" for real money to top yourself up...... All coins are free & the more you play the more you'll see!!

Talking of "loyalty" guys...... Did you know you can make "Our Society" your "Primary Society" if you like? Here's how: Go into "Societies" & then select the Seniors Tour from the "Manage Your Memberships" page. Once inside select the "settings cog wheel icon" from the 3 options just above the message of the day. Here, under "Administration" there's an option to "Set as primary society".... select that & you'll get an "Alert" pop up explaining exactly why you should & the benefits of doing so!! Simply "Confirm" & you're good to go. *The Team Leaderboards it mentions are the official HB ones. Nothing to do with the leaderboards here that Peter aka bogeyman will be posting once we're properly underway. So, let's try & get ours flying high & show the others who's top dog!!? Note: You are, of course - free to make any of your chosen societies that you play in your primary & there is no pressure to do so if you're not interested with that specific aspect of the game. Finally....... The test event at our home course "Dovetail Park" will be underway at some point today (dependent on your global location & time zone) so tee it up & good luck!!

Hey Sam, I am definitely going to be joining and playing but right now I am rotating 8 different Societies through the 5 slots that HB has given us. Until they up the limit, you will probably see a constant fluctuation in membership as people leave the Societie to play in an event in another only to return later for the next event. I could use about 10 slots but I am not hopeful that HB sees this as their biggest problem. OK! Absolutely no worries & good to know cmattax Plus, we might get an answer to the: Joining fee / leave get refund / pay to rejoin? Question.

So, the free to enter test event at our home course of Dovetail Park is well under way. I'm sure those that have played so far noticed that although we teed off from the members, white {middle} tees, the number 2 pinset is quite challenging so one negated the other for the set up Remember when you check out the leaderboard it updates on the fly (cool) & the only reason I'm top at the moment is that I've played this course many, many times & play tested every hole countless times while remastering it during the beta testing pre launch. Anyway it's not over until the fat lady sings so if your yet to start - the target is only 7 under Must say unlucky to "jaws1948" (Mike Carvelas) who was tied for the lead going into the par 5 last, only to drop a shot & spill the split purse winnings - which btw, is not worth getting excited about as I only bunged in 200 HBucks of the societies own money we had collected at the time into a bonus pot as there was no entrance fee. Things will change Sunday, when we're hoping to get going for real & start pinching coins from one another whilst the clubhouse takes a small rake (a la poker house establishments) which btw will benefit us all as we upgrade to bigger & better premises along the way. *Important* Keep your eyes peeled in the societies / community forum for a "cross platform" post from our global chairman bogeyman which will detail & give specific information on how the new TGC2 Seniors Tour will operate here at TGCTours!!!!

-7 hey, cant get anywhere near that, had lots drama here on Player clubs
I might look at each course we play and if a course is shorter but requires strategy and accuracy, might have to step down to STD clubs
Amazed how straight some are hitting on Tour clubs
