The HB forums are rampant with guys that want this game to simulate a Sunday hacker shooting 90 and with fanboys of that other golf game. The more I play, the more balanced I feel the clubs are in a vacuum. But there's something going on that is impacting the Tour clubs playability sometimes. There are times I can get P/P almost all the time, and other times I can't get anything other than Slow/Perfect, even when I try to take a fast backswing. I watched the infamous geminii 200-dpi video. His golfer on screen doesn't come close to a fluid swing - super fast backswing, long pause - and tempo is P/P. I watched that and it's not even a close representation of the gameplay on PS4. I feel like I'm playing a different game, which makes this whole discussion moot. I've noticed some super fast backswings as well in videos. I can't make my guy do that no matter what I do. Slow or fast with the stick, the animation moves at the same pace. If I pause for a millisecond at the top it's a slow backswing. Seems like we're all playing a different game π Same here. A little pauze at the top will result in a slow backswing. Starting the backswing before the top is most of the time perfect but results in a sub100% shot. I usually have a fast downswing but i think that's all my fault. I will adapt. Dont think i can get the downswing right.

Until they fix this game....it's Players clubs for me I'm a little stubborn but also wondering when this will be true for me as well.

What's blowing my mind is how many people are having trouble with the "tempo" aspect. Even with a controller I can't hit straight or even consistently enough to plan for I get p/p 95 percent of the time. Every now and then I'll revert to my TGC1 method of jamming it too fast forward and get a fast downswing. But other than that I'm swinging at pretty much exact same tempo as first game. Think maybe people are using too much of a pause at top of the swing and it's causing them problems.
My issues are revolving around being able to keep the line relatively straight. One shot it goes out of the cone left, next one out of the cone right, next one barely in the cone. Swinging same way every time. Maybe it's the pad itself that's causing most of it. But it's the exact same pad I played all my tour rounds with in first game and was able to keep it straight enough to play pretty well enough to advance fairly quickly.

Things have totally changed for me... PC with a PS4 controller.. I went from hitting it straight with tempo problems to perfect tempo but hitting it all over the place..

Still hate the swing being server sided.

This is how my learning arc went too. Keep practicing - sounds like your next stop is perfect tempo & straight-ish. Which is where I am now

There is no way your backswing speed have any effects on the ball IRL as long as it long enugh ...its all about clubhead speed during impact ...ποΈποΈ Backswing speed has a huge impact on tempo in real life, if it varies and is inconsistent it can effect your swing result and yes the length of your backswing can give you more clubhead speed for your downswing

Quick yes or no question. Is it possible to get a (very) fast backswing on ps4?

In light of the patch (& the fact that we're just a few posts shy of the magic 69), has anyone's opinions changed on this?.... *runs away & ducks*....

I think only the PC has the patch so far.
