Elite Dangerous yes it has a steep learning curve but if your interested at all in space it’s a must have game. I’ve been playing it since 1984 in one form or another on various platforms and when they decided to release it for Xbox I just had to have it. Landing on planets/moons and searching for ancient ruins or Thargoid bases is great and the game looks fantastic on the Xbox One X so it should look even better on a good PC. I read that they are going to release NMS on Xbox supposedly this year so I will get it as it looks interesting but visually it looks nothing like Elite. For those that say there isn’t much to do you can be a trader, explorer, bounty hunter, pirate or a mix of all of them, I like to think of myself as a privateer. Then again computer golf is a pretty boring sport, tee it up and try and hit it straight, get it on the green and hole the putt rinse and repeat. The visuals change depending on the course your playing but the core game play remains the same just like Elite. Those are my thoughts on it.

Absolutely agree with you with everything you said and there is enough to do on Elite. Game looks also amazing on the PS4 Pro with multisampling on. Didnt play it for a while, but soon I will. They are planning more updates ahead. BTW...the planets do hide secrets also, but Frontier wont tell what it is.

I’ve been to a few of the ruins but they are a few hundred light years away so you need a decent explorer ship, Maia system is a good one to go to there are things on planet in nearby systems only one jump away. Anything you need to know just ask.

Is it possible for all of us to get together somewhere in the Elite universe, then just go mob out and pillage everything we come across?

NMS has a big expansion this summer. I've been getting back into NMS and the more I play it the less I think I'll check this out. Hey Irving... Elite Dangerous is now on discount:).

I may have to re-fire. Odyssey looks crazy good but appears to be PC only so far.
