Does this have anything to do with Hershey, PA? I believe taste's Caramel Creek course was supposed to be based on Hershey.

Ahhhh gotcha. Well damn. Thanks for info. Is that the same reason I can't find Caramel Creek on the courses list either?

Which course is it based on? East or West. Played East once a long long time ago. TBH, for some reason, Parkwood used to be a favorite of mine down that way. I heard they tore it down for Park Expansion or some sort. Tricky little short tract. Not always in the best shape especially towards the end of my playing there but always good for a quick round. And go Bears!

TarheelGolfer some referred to that one as Hershey South, and yes, sadly it's gone. I enjoy both East and West for different reasons, but it was fun back in the day when the Web Tour (the Nike Tour at that time) came through and played the East. Unfortunately, one of the best courses Hershey ever had is also gone. It was originally called Wren Dale but was then sold to Hershey and was called Hershey Links for a while, before it was abandoned. It could play well over 7,000 yards, had fast, firm fairways and greens, and a fairly difficult rating. I played a US Open qualifier there in 2005 and finished above a few touring pros (at the time). It was a great course, now just overgrown with weeds and native grasses waiting to be turned into housing. Very sad! I'm on XB1, so I guess I can't be in this Hershey society. But if anyone wants to play around Hershey/Harrisburg IRL, let me know.

Sorry to hijack the thread but I think I have heard of that one. VctryLnSprts Yeah that was when Hershey County Club bought them out if I remember correctly (Hershey South). Although I vaguely remember that name being thrown out. Hershey Links must have been after my time. I think the last new course I remember in the general area before I left was Highlands in Highspire. Definitely in my old stomping grounds. Beaver Bend (as a kid used to sneak out on my bike and ride down there). Unfortunately would have to say Sportsman's Golf Course was also a stomping ground only because it was so cheap to walk back in the day. Used to kick off every golf season there during Masters week. But what a dog tract. Always get a kick over here when people complain about fast greens and how they are unrealistic. They have never paid Sportsman's. Ahh and Sunset with the planes flying over head and TMI in the background. I can't remember if that was the course with the obnoxious 2 tier green on the back nine. But that was like a 2 foot drop front to back with an uphill approach shot. Also heard, they are closing down Blue Ridge as well? Lot of fun courses still in the area there I hope. @tastegw, Again don't mean to hijack the thread just brought up some fond memories of growing up. I too am on XB1 so won't be able to play either but thanks for the trip down memory lane

Taste, are you from Hershey?
@targeelgolfer I love Dauphin Highlands! You're right about Sportsmans and Sunset, not primo places. Blue Ridge Country Club is a course I was a PGA pro at in the 2005 season. It's hanging on by a thread, but rumor is that this will be its last year.
Sorry to participate in the hijack, Taste.

Went to highschool in e-town. Worked at Hershey Park as a face painter in '95 And yes, dauphin Highlands is fantastic! Caramel Creek is just a fictional course based off that areas natural terrain. EDIT: Society is live on PC and first event is up and running
